I love youtube . I’ve done so much maintenance and replacements on my truck that would cost thousands of dollars if I took it to a mechanic . I’ve spent under $100 for some extensive upgrades and maintenance
Thank you, I had forgotten about those little clips on the side, before destroying my car radio I consulted TH-cam and found the solution. I used two unmodified Heck sawblades and it worked.
I just have to say hallelujah praise GOD turn to the LORD and ha e all amen!!! Keep doing for the LORD your work doesnt go unnoticed amen!! GOD bless all!!!
Thanks. The saw blades worked perfectly for me (I did not even modify them). I used one on either side and used bicycle spokes as hooks to pull the radio out.

Yes indeed. I found those metal tabs bent inward. They have to be bent outward to remove the cradle, and it's really really hard and tricky to do it. I don't know why Pionneer making the cradle like that. Maybe to prevent us to put in another type of radio and buy only Pioneer. Thanks man

i have new pioneer cd player and it won't come out of dash. pulling keys do not work. the problem is not releasing the cd unit from cage is how to pull it out after its released??? i cant push unit from back and pulling on plastic face of unit will break it...FAIL PIONEER FAIL!!!
Even using a pioneer key I can’t fucking do it… both keys have been inserted they have clicked into place but I can’t pull the unit out and the keys are now stuck
@@DIYChannelSteve thanks for your reply it’s because i hasn’t fully inserted the key. I heard it click in place and thought that was what was needed but the key needed to be pushed all the way in to be able to pull the head unit out. Thanks for your help !

The keys are super flimsy and bent when I tried to replace my partner's radio, I grabbed two butter knives and it worked way better

@@khouston2683 just make sure whatever you use is thin enough to slide into the space, you could use regular knives as well

sometimes the unit might have a backstrap on it. If you can get you had behind the unit you can feel if there is one.
