Hi Andre , thank you! Epic, If you are shore diving, I suggest heading right from Noordhoek towards "Blougat", its a nice deep sections just off the shore (be careful of fishermen though!). Going about 200m further you'll get to a big rocky section - nice diving can be had here as well. As always - watch out for the swell! If you are going of boat, head towards suicide reef (the obvious reef about 700m of Blougat, right as you come in to Noordhoek). The swell can be dangerous so watch out. It is a huge area going from very shallow to deep at the back. Hope you have a great dive!
Haha, I've gathered them along the way. The conventional guns on the wall are my dads and he swears by them, so perhaps I am wrong! They do the job amazingly for some. Awesome - would be cool to hear you opinion once you've tested it out.
Aloha from Hawaii. Nice vid. My experience is kinda opposite. I'm way more accurate with my conventional Riffe Euro 120, which I had first, than I am with my Aimrite 100 roller. My misses and a lot of target practice show that the Aimrite roller shoots higher than I expect. I can adjust for that by aiming low (and have landed a 40lb Wahoo with it, shorediving!!), but feel I shouldn't have to. My guess is that you're right, its not the gun, but that I need to learn how to sight down the barrel correctly with the roller. Were you ever consistently accurate before roller-izing that gun?
Aloha! Thank you. Interesting! I have found the same with this shorter roller. Always shoots high. Yeah you don't want to have to adjust like that (epic wahoo!!). Honestly the 800 roller was super inconsistent for me, amazing in the short range but not great in clear water.
Is it the roller shooting high or the conventional shooting low? Maybe we subconsciously adjust our aim for a drop in the spear's trajectory, that might not be as pronounced in a roller? I'm about to convert, very curious. I've heard of guys struggling to adjust though, so I'm planning to convert all my guns in one go, keep that consistency or where/how to aim.
