    I love seeing someone converting their lego cars to right hand drive, I thought I was the only one doing it.

      Us right-hand drive countries have to stick together!!!! 😉
      I even swap my Lego City vehicles to rich-hand drive!
      I made a video on 3 of the Creator Defender's (making lots of MODs) and ALL of them ended up RHD...

    I really wish lego made windshield pieces where you can have the windows cut off and its just the front or back windshield so for builds like this the side windows just dont hang off

    • @MinifigJez
      @MinifigJez  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes, I know what you mean, and it would just look like the windows are open instead.
      The only option is to get a sharp knife and do some major Lego surgery!!!!!!!

    I love the Countach, mainly thanks to Transformers G1 with Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. I do hope they return in a future movie, either in their 80s Countach form or the modern day version

    • @MinifigJez
      @MinifigJez  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m old enough to remember both of those.
      Great car, great transformers, and red and yellow are both classic colours to have a Countach in!
      Who knows, after Optimus Prime last year, maybe we’ll get more Lego Autobots.

      exactly the same here, it's the only model of lamborghini purely because of Gen 1 transformers. that and it looks different from the other cookie cutter models that lamborghini makes and gives different names

    the good thing with this set is the stickers are clear so you can build it in any colour, so you should 100% try build it in black, maybe change the red interior to white, and find a way to get the gold rims

    • @MinifigJez
      @MinifigJez  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, clear sticker sheets are always cool to get. I had the same thought as you when I realised it was clear.
      Unfortunately most of the sticker details are black, so they won't show up that much on black bricks, but it's still worth a go.
      The other thing is that the A-Posts printed on the windscreen piece, are also white, so I'd have to maybe make custom stickers to go over the top of them.
      But I'm definitely going to build one of these in another colour one day.

    Lamborghini Countach is not one without those forward pointing triangle shaped vents or whatever they are called. I modded that as well from the original design, by using an unorthodox method. That curved 1x2 smooth on top piece, I added another on both sides but upside down(used some clear scotch tape to hold it in place). Also the front nose is too narrow with that white 1x6 flat piece. I replaced it with a white 1x8 flat piece to give it the wider front look that the real Countach has. I also modded the white rear wing to be bigger and all white(no black LEGO piece supports for the rear wing like in the original instructions). You could be fine with your scissor door mods and just try to make custom stickers for the black triangle shapes that go 1/2 way on the scissor door and the other 1/2 on the other side of edge of where end of the door sits.

    • @MinifigJez
      @MinifigJez  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree about the iconic side vents.
      That curved piece you used, now comes in an inverted version too, so you could do it without using tape!!!
      But I really like your idea of making custom stickers for my scissor-door version. I’ve got a vinyl cutting machine so it’d be really easy to do with black vinyl.

      When my videos go over 8 minutes, YT put in more ads, and this vid was 12 mins, so obviously got the extra ad treatment.
      An ad sequence should never last for a full 4 minutes though.
      What might happen, is if the button turns to "skip" and you miss it, the next ad can't be skipped until it hits it's played amount.
      I'm afraid, I don't control the ads and the same thing happens to me watching videos, EVEN WHEN I WATCH MY OWN VIDEOS !!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

    Use ball joints for the doors

    • @MinifigJez
      @MinifigJez  ปีที่แล้ว

      the smallest ball and socket plate that comes in white are the 2x2 modified. but I don’t think they’d be either small enough to use in the car body and door; or have enough flexibility to allow the door to open much.

      Hi there, if you watch the video, at 2 minutes it shows you the extra pieces that you need, and there’s a link to the Rebrickable instructions in the description.

    Cool idea, poor execution. This is very hard to implement though, I haven't thought up anything else that works better yet.
    So far, these speed champions are far better served as very good looking models hidden away in key places of a lego city. They are too big, but really detailed and iconic, so having them serve a display purpose is fine.

    • @MinifigJez
      @MinifigJez  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I was ok with the 6-wide SC's being in a LEGO City, but the new (since 2020) 8-wide are too big. So I just have them on shelf display instead. This MOD was really just because I wanted it to have its iconic doors.
