Yes, get paid that day. I do not send invoices and wait 30 days. I make it clear to customers payment is due upon completion of job. I don't do any work for sub contractors, or contractors, or attorney's. Contractors will spin your wheels, lie to you, make you wait months to get paid. If it's a property management, i let them know payment is due when i am done. A lot of the big operations have the dispatch person who takes the call for the repsir, get a credit card number, and put a reserve charge on it to make sure the card works. I prefer bank transfer or cash. Credit cards can be disputed later. If my customer tries to not pay, i remove what was installed with the water on. I don't care if the house gets flooded.

We are on a flat rate system also . I don’t get the question often but just curious what your response is when you have that customer who asks for an itemized estimate or invoice?
There are only two reasons such a question might come up: they want to compare your materials charges to what they could buy at Walmart, or their insurance adjuster is telling them they will deny the claim without an itemized invoice.
Walmart's are all so terrible to work for I want the vendor to take lots of pics lots of sign offs trying to hunt down the person in charge. I'm in California and Walmart wants to supply all parts
All the employees refuse to work for them. Or I should say the 3rd party broker
Right on! I kept our Walmart commercial account just to help with the slow times...but...if you have a residential service call and a Walmart job on the schedule...ALWAYS make the RSC priority.
