Good walkthrough :) Do have a couple of questions though: 1. Does the loop builder have a proper taxonomy-filter-function? It's a given for almost all customers I work with that needs this type of "database" of articles type presentation - the option to dynamically sort All movies based on f.ex Genre, so a taxonomy based on genre, and then an option over the film grid to dynamically show only Action, or Animated, or even a combination of the two, is this currently possible? 2. From what I can see building the loop element with blocks it supports pulling ACF fields into blocks using the database-icon, so it's possible to pull custom data from acf-fields and display in the loop right? 3. Is there any way for the grid/archive built with loop builder to trigger a popup-window with the movie info, instead of directing to the article/post for the image? Like: you list all movies, use taxonomy filter to select "action movies", and then click a button for a movie you like that triggers a popup showing the movie image and some basic info pulled from the post itself, like genre, maybe a couple of custom ACF fields like "rating" and "running time" - and then you close the popup and click on the next movie for another popup with that movies info - is that possible with Spectra Pro and the loop builder and the popup pro-feature?
Thanks for the vid! Informative. With databases and custom post types, is there a way to incorporate a search and/or filter function on the archives/database page? Or would we need to implement a Search and Filter plugin for that? I only ask because most archive pages and databases are going to be more functional with a search and/or filtering option.

I am building my site now and this loop builder is providing me a way to manage and present all the data I have in my noggin! I already own and use Astra Pro and purchased Spectra Pro. Do you think it's worth it to invest in ACF Pro, Kay or is a robust large website functional with just the free plugin? Also - do you think the site will be slow with all those images Any suggestions for shrinking embedded video?
Hey @victoriamakris thank you for your kind words! And you got yourself a great combo with Astra Pro & Spectra Pro. - Regarding ACF it really depends of the complexity of your database. I'd say try first with the free version until you come across limitations you can't live with for your project. - Regarding the images, optimizig them from the start really helps (like saving them in the webp format) - Regarding videos, you can reduce their size while maintaining quality with a free software called "Handbrake" -> I'm not sure this is the case but then again I hope you are not hosting them directly on your website?
Thanks for an excellent video ! I am now trying to build a site with only Spectra Pro and Spectra one. Since the spectra one theme does not support loop builder yet ( it uses query builder ), I build an archive page using loop builder for my custom post type. Works excellent ! But now I want to add a filter so my end-users can filter on taxonomy or other info. How can i do that ?
I have a large number of custom posts and need to load more on the same page for a better user experience. Currently, Spectra Pro offers only a pagination option, which unfortunately resets the page to the top with each new page load, disrupting the browsing flow. Could you consider adding an option to load more content in place, without the page jump? That would be a highly beneficial feature.

When I try adding the Spectra Pro Loop Builder to a container, I get the following error message: "This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed." Why might I be getting that error?

If you check the full tutorial in this video, you will see that Astra is the theme and Spectra is a page builder plugin which works with default block builder. Using both Astra theme + Spectra plugin, you can build good sites.

A loop block allows for greater control over the display of posts, enabling custom queries and varied layouts. A post grid block is generally used for displaying posts in a predetermined grid pattern with limited customization options.
Too bad you can't add one headline or paragraph and then highlight the text you want to make dynamic. It causes an error for me. I have to add one custom field per paragraph which then makes it miserable to try and style something like "Mr. John Smith" if Title, First and Last names are separate Custom fields!!! Can you do a tutorial on making text like that work?

Kay, would things be the same if you used Spectra One as the theme?
For the content yes as it's using Spectra Pro. Only theme specific options would change.
