  • By dedicating a separate battery to the roller, you allow the 12V motor to dedicate itself to the suction. This mod increase power of this vacuum cleaner tremendously! I filled my canister fuller than its ever been after I had vacuumed twice the previous day.

So informative. Could you video all the steps and show the internal parts?

Hi Ingrid, unfortunately the video was an afterthought.

No chance you actually filmed yourself opening the neck of the vacuum and connecting the wires to the battery pack? Any thoughts on connecting the wires without a soldering tool? For those of us who aren't used to doing our own mods and not quite as electrically inclined. ; ) I was thinking my lack of suction is just due to needing to switch out old batteries but perhaps this could help things and/or is the actual culprit. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately no video opening up the neck. I did the whole thing then just whipped this up to help others. It's quite self explanatory when it's opened up since there's only two wires that go from the circuit board down to the bottom. Disconnecting those just allows more current for suction. It's a really dumb circuit. I would advise against no soldering since the vibrations could (would) undo connections. Even with a soldering iron, replacing the batteries would be extremely annoying. I thought my batteries weren't holding a charge as much as they used to, but when I made this mod it put life back into my entire unit. I would recommend vacuuming on the low setting so the roller spins at 7 volts vs. 6 volts. Even with less suction it works better when the roller spins with more torque.

Self-explanatory? ... nope. Putting the battery packs on the top of the roller housing will make the vacuum pretty much useless for getting under low(er) lying furniture. I like where you have placed them--on the back of the stick. Thanks for sharing the video.

Oi, excelente aula!

You're done a good job. BUT if you would SHOW / DEMONSTRATE all the steps you are talking about would be more informative. EVEN 4 non-English speaker, like myself.

Bottom line is don't buy this piece of crap. Why would I want to go through all this trouble, spend more money on something that is supposed to suction??? I commend you for being so creative but having to do all this in order to make it work? Easier to throw this in the trash and buy another brand. This machine does not work. Wish I had read all the awful reviews before purchasing.
