Hi, from Japan!! I feel Honda has been making vehicles which can be loved by many kind of people nowadays. In fact, last gen was not popular in Japan at all. Me too, I think this new gen will be more sold even in Japan. Funny, our nations are different but we feel same way. Different way of thinking, different backgrounds, different cultures, but we know what good cars are!!

Sport Touring also has exclusive extra sound deadening, and it's noticeable in its refinement. Most refined Honda I've had, including 7 previous leased high-end Accords. Been better than EPA numbers in urban cycle, and slightly below on highway, so it averages out to meeting EPA number of 37.

I saw one parked next to a Mazda CX-5 at work the other day. I've always liked the look of the CX-5. But, I thought the new CR-V looked better. I've never liked the new generation RAV4. If I ever need to replace my 2006 Element, it would probably be the new CR-V hybrid. I would love to see some snow and ice tests in the new CR-V. My Element is a tank when it comes to snow and ice. I do think the new CR-V should have a spare tire though.

Honda's engineering prowess is truly remarkable, as evidenced by the enduring performance of my 2007 CRV, which is still going strong. Earlier this year, I diligently considered the competition, but ultimately, I couldn't resist the allure of the CRV ST. Having driven a Ford C-Max Hybrid for the past decade, which has been nothing short of fantastic, I must admit that the i-MMD architecture in Honda's hybrids delivers a far more enjoyable driving experience than the e-CVT power split planetary gear system found in Ford and Toyota cars.
Moreover, the CRV's captivating styling, generous interior space, unmatched comfort, and exceptional longevity make it a clear winner for me. The decision to purchase the Honda CRV was a no-brainer, given the myriad advantages it offers over its competitors.

Thank you for pointing out that this hybrid doesn't have a CVT. Other journalists keep labeling it as a CVT, even though it's just a simple lock-up clutch. I think Honda will drop the gas-only trims once they can make enough batteries.

We have a new 23 CRV EX with AWD and we purposefully chose the non-hybrid version for simplicity and potential longevity with low maintenance. It’s a very solid little SUV, no issues in 6 months of ownership, and it’s better in every conceivable way than the 2018 Civic EX Hatch we traded in. It’s also faster and gets better MPG than that Civic, somehow.

Understand, but its been almost 6 years that honda released their first hybrid in accord in 2018.. I dont think we have heard anything negative so far.. oil changes are less frequent on hybrid and its a naturally aspirated 2.0 engine

I'm waiting on a 2wd non-hybrid. I'm not yet convinced hybrid is the way to go. if those batteries die, it's over 2k to replace. (if outside warranty) That's 10x a standard battery. It's surprising to price check what used crv are getting. My 18 sold new for 30k. used models of same year, trim, and mileage are selling near 27k. No wonder it's time to trade in for a 23.

@@tntmyth, we may each prefer a different generation of the CR-V for different reasons, but I am UNconvinced the 6th generation is objectively better or nicer. Honestly this video's original review was long on verbiage and short on the particulars of the vehicle. In my opinion, the 2023 CR-V's touchscreen is awkwardly placed, the instrumentation panel is less appealing (mph is both digital and analog -- what?), and the brightly colored stitching on the seats is an eyesore. But again, these are personal preferences. The 2022 CR-V Hybrid I am driving is performing magnificently, exceeding my expectations.

Low power, very turbocharger reliant due to lack of natural torque from the low displacement, the car weighs a lot for the powertrain, so soon it will throw a rod sooner than civics will

I had a4 th generation CR-V and can't agree AT ALL that it was cheaply made. Now, I traded it in for a 2023 Accord, but that isn't because I was dissatisfied with the CR-V; I just wanted an Accord. I'm not happy that Honda reduced the models with Hybrid option to just the Sport models in 2023. I actually miss the CR-V and wish I had a second car as a CR-V. I disagree with the return to stick shifters because the shifter gets in the way of cupholders and the phone charger/storage area. The 4th gen had very old and slow technology for the entertainment and info displays, so that was a gap that only an upgrade to the new CR-V can rectify. Also, the wheel designs on the non-hybrid CR-V models are HORRIBLE. I also don't like the black wheels with the Sport models. It may technically be better than the 4th gen CR-V, but there were some poor choices made by Honda for this gen of its most popular model.
