When I got my first Standard it made my Mexican Strat feel like an art project trying to be a guitar. Changed me from a through and through fender guy to an LP player overnight

The Gibson Les Paul has the dignity and majesty of a king. And the Yamaha Revstar has the charm of a well-working knight. (From Japan, submitted via a translation app).

i think with the gibson and fender custom shop guitars,its the feel and playability that make them different from standards.still a lot of cash though!

I think it's wise to compare the Yamaha to whatevers Pinnacle'ing... I personally was impressed by a guitar Yamaha built that had a 5 way rotary switch...the rotary switch maybe useless with P90's idk....
I like the sound of the p-90 pick-ups in the Revstar but I don't really care for the body shape, The funny thing about Guitars is you have to like the guitar to want to play it. I have a Gibson SG I bought new in 1984 and I absolutely love it, and I have a Les-Paul Studio that sounds really good, but I don't like the looks, or the weight and I never play it. It appears like your Gibson has everything going for it fantastic looks, weight, and sound. Time to start learning some Led Zeplin, Free, Gary Moore licks because that is what that guitar was meant to play. I subscribed so I can keep an eye on your progress.

No sense in 2nd guessing yourself_ the Gibson drew you in enough to part with Alot of $_ but when they get it right , they are 2nd to None_ You are Worth it My Friend_ as long as You're Happy Dont Ever look back_ Congrats on a Beautiful Gtr_!! Enjoy_!!

I think any guitar that costs more than 3000 quid is a complete ripp off unless it is a custom made guitar or extremely vintage . I have 6 high end Ibanez hollow and semie hollow guitars. An AS200; two GB10's from 1980 and 3 Scofield sinature guitars. They were are all between 2000 and 3000 quid when I bought them. Much better instruments than any Les Paul or 335's I ever owned in the past. However. I got myself the sunburst revstar recently. Same one you've got. Different colour. For some reason I pick that one up the most. I bought it second hand for 400 quid and cannot put it down. I had a frettlevel and set it up to perfection with D'Addarios 11's ballanced tension. Medium action. I play mainly Jazz and fusion. That guitar is a dream to play. You've got a Strat; a Tele, a Les Paul, a PRS and a 335 in one instrument. Most versatile Guitar I ever owned. The neck is just a dream to play. I will get myself the humbucker version for Christmas. These guitars are totally unterrated and worth 4 Times the price. The Gibson Logo never did it for me.

I have 2 Revstars, the p90 and the humbucker versions and they are my only 2 guitars now. You can pay more but you won’t get more.
