Cote&Ciel have great looking designs and build quality, but I'm just not sold on their practicality. I have three of their bags, and they are either too heavy even when unloaded (Spree laptop messenger) and/or the strap is too thin for comfort (Riss obsidian). Shoulder bags really ought to have wide straps; Incase (also sold by Rushfaster) gets this right.
This backpack its quite heavy. It has approx 4kg weight while its empty. I've read so many reviews and suprisingly no one ever pointed out this. When I take the same amount of stuff and load back my Herschel, I feel freedom on my back honestly.
Owned the previous version of this bag, the new version (featured here) has a very stiff top strap / holder which pushes into your neck if you're a cyclist. It has ended up causing me quite a severe injury from constant pressure. Took me a while to figure that out after several months of pain and reoccurring injuries that it was due to the pack.
Will you review caterpillars King Kong backpack anytime soon? I liked the fact it has lots of smaller easy accesible compartments, but im sure a review would help me to make a choice :)
Hmm we haven’t looked at bags from CAT yet - we’ll have a look and see what we can do. Lots of gear to cover on the channel, the list is getting big! - Ed

I get it, there is a lot of gear out there, i just couldnt find no reviews, not even any pictures of the interior of CATs King Kong backpack, wich suprised me because CAT is already a kind of famous company, admittable not so much for their backpacks, but still. Seeing the interior would help a lot of people to decide. From the pictures i can say the outside looks neat! Regardles if you do the review or not, awesome channel and content! Finally somebody who reviews backpacks in a way where every aspect is covered! Respect!

@@Lunchboxtlf Very durable and nice materials, paddings so useful and make you feel secure. I've been using my Isar M Ecoyarn since 2013, for work, play, even travelled to some countries with it. The outer compartment can carry some clothes, but to be honest it's just too heavy even when unloaded (loaded with mac 13", chargers, universal adapter, utensils, USB dongles, hand sanitizer, small lotion/sunscreen bottle & other small stuffs). In my back I sweat a lot because of this bag and it absorbed. But again, very cool and nice to look at. But for everyday use, can't really recommend.

i've heard that the straps that hold the duffel to the backpack get loose very often, even if not loaded heavily. is that true?

What a stupid design. So you have to lie the pack down just to get things in/out.
