    I just have to say, this is the perfect bag review. Perfect. I'm not talking about the bag, I'm talking about the review. I've been watching a bunch of bag review videos and there are so many bad and annoying ones. This one was just flawless. All the helpful info, only the helpful info, no annoying "ok, guys, so, sorry it's been awile since my last video" crap. All the right terminology. After seeing so many bad or flawed ones, I'm just really impressed how spot-on this one is. So, to this reviewer, I say: KUDOS.

    I have this backpack. I highly recommend. Fits my 13” macbook perfectly like his in the video. Can carry a normal size water bottle. My iPad Air 3 fits perfect on the lower pocket in the laptop compartment. Some 1-4 depending size fit nice in the compartment then the front compartment fits my electronic accessories along with school supplies perfectly for reference to anyone.

    This is an absolutely cracking review. All essential info, very practical especially how you walked us through loading up the bag itself.
    The bag is… okay? Love the aesthetic, but honestly it’s so small. I don’t think I would want to shell out that amount of money for a bag that can’t even be versatile enough for a weekend trip. Guess it’s back to another Thule for me.
    Again, great job Ed!

    How does the coating on the front portion handle the test of time. I heard that some coatings are not designed to resist hot and humid climates (eg. Malaysia, Singapore) and will peel into clumps or become sticky over time

    Is this too large for every day carry? Would you recommend a sling instead for taking everywhere, even shopping?

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It really depends on what you'll use it for and the items you're carrying. The Day Pack 2 is design as an everyday and work carry backpack. It has multiple pockets and a laptop compartment for smart organization. If you're not going to carry a lot of items or a laptop, then a sling would be perfect. Cheers!

    This review is very helpful. However, I am curios if this Day Pack 2 can fit a 14 inch macbook & 16 inch portable monitor with 1 cm thick in the laptop sleeve?

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Based on the dimensions provided by Aer, the laptop sleeve on the Day Pack 2 is designed to fit laptops up to 15.6 inches in size. However, the thickness of your laptop and monitor may also be a factor in determining whether they will fit comfortably in the sleeve.
      According to the product page on the Aer website, the laptop compartment measures 15.5" x 11" x 1.5", which should be large enough to accommodate most 14-inch laptops. However, if your laptop and monitor are particularly thick or bulky, you may want to consider measuring them to ensure that they will fit comfortably in the sleeve.
      It's also worth noting that the Day Pack 2 has other compartments and pockets that can be used to store additional items, such as cables, chargers, and other accessories. This can help to free up space in the laptop compartment and make it easier to organize and access your gear while on the go.
      Ultimately, whether or not your laptop and monitor will fit in the Day Pack 2 will depend on their size and thickness. If you're unsure whether they will fit comfortably in the laptop sleeve, I would recommend contacting Aer directly for more information or considering alternative backpacks that offer larger laptop compartments.

    • @mrth21990
      @mrth21990 ปีที่แล้ว

       @Rushfaster wow, thanks so much for your in-depth answer. I have contacted Aer directly for more information. That's a no-brainer, for sure.
      Meanwhile, my MacBook is 0.61" thick & my monitor is 0.39" wide. With a total of 1" thick, it should fit 1.5" of the laptop compartment. Also, the monitor is only 14.1" long, so it's another good sign.
      I also considered Tech Pack 2. However, it seemed too much for my EDC needs. If I travel, I will put stuff in my luggage, so it won't be my concern.

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Stephen,
      You technically would be able to fit a DSLR body with a standard lens in the main compartment (it will restrict space for other gear in other areas), but I would caution you to add some padding or any form of additional protection for the camera as these bags aren't designed to protect or house camera gear. Hope that helps! - Ed

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmm I'd say it's a pretty tough fit. The main cavity does have space for bigger items like a tech pouch and lunch etc. But depending on what size shoes you have and the dimensions of your lunch box - it could be really snug.

      Not waterproof, but the ballistic nylon cordura is water-resistant. So it'll hold up for a little while in rain, but it's definitely not waterproof (most bags aren't interestingly enough, just different degrees of resistance).
