Cal had the hit, but Ernest is hard to beat...saw his @ Cactus Jack's in Memphis late 70's/early 80's. was one of my grandmother's favorites in the 40s and I'm going to see him in concert 40 years later. WOW!!!
V people say I'm not old enough to listen to country music like that but I was born in 1968 my mom and dad grew up on it in the 70s and I always love the old songs I want to listen to some people now to this age I have to have a liking and be a follower

The great E.T. was closer to the end than to the beginning, but this is one of many terrific recordings (this one of a song by Whisperin' Bill Anderson and originally recorded by Tubb's protege, Cal Smith) proving that Tubb only got better as he went on.
