The regular chainsaw man doesn't act like that and his chainsaw isn't sparking and burning. It's a higher difficulty and his name is Super Salvador. 1 touch from him is instant decapitation. He's a returning powerful enemy from the original Re4's Mercenaries shipyard stage. And he naturally runs at you like a lunatic swinging his burning sparking chainsaw. Also in the original Re4, he was much taller than the player.
It’s so much more intense now since we can move and shoot. In the original the enemies had to slowly approach since we were stationary now they can actually chase us

you did not see the full video i guess, after the parry attack to the chainsaw, the knife was broken when leon open his case, and can not use anymore by the player, so it is pretty much logic
The thing that i am scared about this remake version is that The Ganados are not that easy to stagger anymore, it took them more than one shot to the body.

I remember watching an original resident evil 4 trailer for GameCube where Leon was aiming with the shotgun and salvador attacked him so he protected himself using this weapon, looks great to see that now he can do it even with a knife
So super dr Salvador was like this in the original ?I thought his chainsaws were like double and he was huge but I like this version too he seems WAYYY MORE AGGRESSIVE and intimidating like you have to be aware of him because you don’t even have time to dodge the chainsaw with how fast he swings and moves I also like the look of the chainsaw and his new look too hopefully this makes it to the full game I would like hyper aggressive enemies and the game making you feel constantly pressured and on edge a simple mistake could cost you

No. Super Sal was (originally) a unique enemy for the water world mercenaries map. Built like JJ and his minigun, he wielded some.sort of alamgation of twisted metal and chain that deletes heads. This. This is new. This is no bueno. This makes me feel intimidated.

You're wrong. What is changed is that it is mandatory for the players to confront Dr Salvador now. In the OG, the player trigger Dr Salvador by coming into the house with the shotgun or by going into the gate. So players can avoid fighting him by not going into those two locations. But in the remake, after a certain amount of times/enemies killed, Dr Salvador will appear in front of the gate so there's no avoiding him.
After watching through this again I gotta agree they made it a lot more aggressive. It feels like how 5 felt playing it on hardest difficulty for the first time. Gun mechanics seem a little different too.
I love the village fight. . Small and narrow spaces with limited ammo and health to fight plenty of enemies. I learned to relax and dodge by playing this over and over on my PS2.
I remember back in the Wii Version, you could easily cheese the village assault by just not going into the house where the shotgun is, and instead forcing the villagers to engage you alongside the narrow path using the handgun and knife to stagger and melee everyone until the bell rings. Now I'm 90% certain that Salvador Spawns no matter what you do.
Of all the fights in this game, this one always gives me so much anxiety because there are so many and they do not stop coming until enough time has passed for the cut scene to start. By then, even the best players will have run through a good chunk of ammo and first aid supplies because of sheer attrition. Still an underrated gem in the RE series.
This part of the game used to get me shaking from a mix fear, stress, and anxiety. The sounds were enough to send chills down my spine, the fact that I understood what they'd say had me on the edge of my seat, and being terrible at aiming only made me play this game on edge. I hope they stop showing more of the game because it'd be better to experience it first hand. SO EXCITING
I told myself RE4 was recent enough to not benefit from a remake the same way 2 did. I told myself they couldn't recapture the flash-in-the-pan magic that was my first experience with RE4. To a degree, I still don't think I'm wrong in that stance. But dangit if they're adding things such as stealth takedowns and the like, that's gonna be enough to make me play this game. Between this and the dead space remake, I'm running out of feet.
I think it’s really interesting how in the original, using the W870 was a panic move because it took everybody out of your zone. Shotgun was powerful enough to move them. It seems that in this game it won’t help, they’ll keep being close to you, specially Dr Salvador.
Kicks were insane too. When running from groups you could find a narrow spot, stun the closest ganado with a normal gun headshot or a knife swing to the head, kick the whole crowd back then rinse and repeat. You can even kick Salvador to death if done right
Does anyone know, if Super Salvador appears in the REmake 4 Main Campaign? In the original RE 4, Super Salvador only appeared in Mercenary Mode. The fact, that he appeared in the REmake 4 Chainsaw Demo made me happy and would like to see him in the REmake 4 main campaign! At least, I don't see any reason don't add this enemy in the main story.

Everytime I play resident evil 4 and some bullshit happens like boss fights, I always think “Leon better be making a billion dollars a year!” Because ain’t no way they expect him to deal with monsters like this for cheap. Like he better live in a futuristic mansion and have enough money to retire 10+ generations in his bloodline. He better have butlers and maids along with a chauffeur and personal chef that makes nothing but meals that would put Gordon Ramsey to shame. He better have nothing but the best of everything, beds, sheets, cars, appliances, plumbing, he even better have a carnival in his back yard that’s so much better than six flags or Neverland ranch. He better have the biggest yacht too with everything on it. I swear if he lives in a roach infested apartment and he doesn’t want that, he better leak all the governments top secret info to the media because that’s some BULLSHIT! I wouldn’t tolerate regular government wages for this shit, I feel like Hell would be better than this. Not even joking.
Just saying too that you could drag and drop the herbs to combine them you could do a similar thing in the original but there was no mouse on PC it’s backspace to pickup the item and backspace to drop and combine. i use shotgun shoot his head 3 times and 1 time a leg to knockdown then throw 2 grenades, i thought i finally killed Salvador but he stand up like nothing happends, somehow Salvador in remake is more tough than original But even if killed him once, a second Salvador respawn, i was like : "this sh*t wasnt hard enough ??"
What difficulty level was this? They were fast and chainsaw guy looks like he can sprint! My blood pressure rose just from watching this. I beat the original a dozen times. They definitely amped this game up
I would've liked them to make a super imposing chainsaw guy like leather face and have him chase Ashley, once you're in control of her, around certain areas of the map like mr. X did, but less annoying. You'd have to hide from him coz you really can't do anything else and escape him. It would be a nice remix from the original game...very Texas chainsaw massacre inspired and a fun scary time! 😱

Unlike the original, you have to kill Salvador before you can move on. It's Remakes indeed.
It appears to be an exclusive feature to Mad Chainsaw mode. You can definitely avoid killing him in normal mode
From what I've seen in Max Dood's channel (and others), it's not mandatory. You can just time out the whole sequence, as in the original.

Just saying too that you could drag and drop the herbs to combine them you could do a similar thing in the original but there was no mouse on PC it’s backspace to pickup the item and backspace to drop and combine. Great video too

i use shotgun shoot his head 3 times and 1 time a leg to knockdown then throw 2 grenades, i thought i finally killed Salvador but he stand up like nothing happends, somehow Salvador in remake is more tough than original
But even if killed him once, a second Salvador respawn, i was like : "this sh*t wasnt hard enough ??"

What difficulty level was this? They were fast and chainsaw guy looks like he can sprint! My blood pressure rose just from watching this. I beat the original a dozen times. They definitely amped this game up

I would've liked them to make a super imposing chainsaw guy like leather face and have him chase Ashley, once you're in control of her, around certain areas of the map like mr. X did, but less annoying.
You'd have to hide from him coz you really can't do anything else and escape him. It would be a nice remix from the original game...very Texas chainsaw massacre inspired and a fun scary time! 😱
