this trailer was seriously one of the best illustrations on how it "feels" to play counter strike and was well made in almost every aspect, down to the soundtrack. Can't believe they just dropped something this high quality more than a decade ago only to never do it again, kind of sad to be honest

Well, with an awp you either hit your first shot or get killed, so awp with no armor is a viable choice, even for terrorists. P90 without armor is what I was used to see during my gold nova times, though

I've always absolutely adored csgo not as a game but as a thematic idea. The idea of being a anti terrorist squad stopping a terrorist group is such a good idea. Siege tried to do it like that but ended up using characters that weren't generic so it ended up just as a hero shooter. But csgo has always stuck to this idea. Sure it gets a bit more light as time goes on but it's core is still that premise. This trailer perfectly shows the theme and ideas of this game. No one is safe. There are no heroes just people trying to protect other people. People die both terrorist and CT. And sometimes you're trying to be the good guy and you're staring a bomb seconds away from going off after you just had 4 friends die 1 burned alive and 1 stabbed in the back. You're scared alone knowing you could die in the next few seconds either by a guy with a death wish trying to stab you in the back or by a bomb sick people set up to hurt people who didn't deserve it. Regardless it's either you save the day and be remembered as a hero or you fail and let hundreds of people die. It's one of the most fearful scenarios you can be in i'm sure. Something no one can imagine but yet you can almost feel the dread it would give you being in their situation yet here they are volunteering to try to save our lives.

That feeling when you even playnoffline, 1 match with bots on nuke even feel like a mission against terrorists trying to blow up nuclear missile. Amazing

Man, you should check out Ready or Not. In that game you play as a leader of a SWAT unit tasked with dealing with high stress and dangerous situations with one objective, to bring order to chaos. Your team goes up against methed up junkies, active shooters, gang members, cartels, and even terroirists at some point. The mission objectives also vary, sometimes you need to arrest very specific people, sometimes you need to defuse bombs, and also find the evidence as you go through the level.

Never thought about it but I first bought CS:GO in 2014 and my first ever competitive match was on Nuke, god I remember it like it was a year ago...
I was so used to 1.6 and CS:GO felt so much different, harder but in a good way, I loved the game since that very first match on Nuke.
So many memories, so many good times, so many new friends met, so many games played, so much learned and so much more.

Not only is the trailer an amazing cinematic, it also teaches you some things about how the game is played. This is more or less how a round of CS:GO was played, just embellished a bit with cinematic flair.

@@petertorok4928 its the launch trailer, not the actual trailer, csgo had a launch trailer that was kind of mid just like the cs2 trailer. Give it a year (about the same amount of time it took for the csgo trailer) and cs2 should have a pretty nice cinematic trailer coming out

Coming back to this trailer after playing cs2.. its so clear how valve intended to make the future of nuke. I believe they absolutely did in source 2 with the new lighting. I love it!

Now *this* is a trailer. It doesn't show everything off at once and displays what the creators assumed would be a regular match, and adds emotion and meaning to every character like they are real individual people adding to the realism. You can see the panic in the last CT defusing that bomb, you can see the shock in the terorrist when the original bomb-holder died, it's so good.
