This trailer is a masterpiece, we can all agree on that. There is actual emotion even behind the masks and armor. The scenes are so well thought out and the lighting is great. And you can't forget the music and sound design, gorgeously done.
When I was in middle school, I used to watch this trailer over and over again because I couldn't afford the game, it was just so good. Like a mini movie of sorts.

Maybe because of its theme. Unlike war Terrorism isnt about an arms race on who has the bigger gun. Terrorists dont need the latest equipment because most of their tactics is either a surprise attack or overwhelming an enemy with the man advantage.

Now *this* is a trailer. It doesn't show everything off at once and displays what the creators assumed would be a regular match, and adds emotion and meaning to every character like they are real individual people adding to the realism. You can see the panic in the last CT defusing that bomb, you can see the shock in the terorrist when the original bomb-holder died, it's so good.
1:04 I love this moment. Dude's in the center of the room without a gun, surrounded by CT, while his buddy's like “bro, calm down, I'll take care of it.”
The fact that it's actually on a map in the game, and represents a round how it could very well play out in the actual game, plus it being made so well makes it sooooo good
@@markix124 Well it is just the older version of nuke that was originally in the game when it was released. The one we have now is remade from the old version in 2016. However, if you are taking this into account then yes there are some differences between the old version and the one seen in the trailer still. One big difference is that there is a lot of added boxes, crates, and barrels that were not there in game but in the trailer they were.
3:21 I love how perfectly the music works in conjunction with the bomb's beeping sound. It creates the perfect suspense scenario and really allows you to immerse into the last standing CT's stressful thoughts and emotions. This trailer is a frigging masterpiece.

Honestly one of the best game trailers ever. Even though it’s an animation it perfectly captures the feeling of playing the game and is entertaining in its own right.
I personally feel like this fits Half-Life's multiplayer much more. Incredibly strategic and the next second, frantic and heated. IMO Counter Strike's gameplay isn't too similar to this, so I wouldn't say it 'perfectly captures the feeling'. It does capture the feeling well, though.
The gameplay is different that portrayed, it shows the cts not knowing where the t's are at first, which is inaccurate, but thats not the point. The point is to show this game is cool

Tactics at the start of the round (CT explaining where the main enterence and bombsite is while on chopper) The intense gunfights, use of grenades to flush out enemies or allow you to push ahead. (Flashbang and grenade scenes) Team play and trying to carry rounds solo (how the CT's work together, while 1 T is still alive trying to defend the bomb) Finally how the last CT goes in looking around for his enemy, judging the situation to see if he should run or defuse and the T going for that knife kill instead of just shooting him, like some players do. It's obviously built on how playtesters played and how devs imagined the game. Obviously it's changed over the years and some people play it more casually, some more seriously, but you get the point.
Its scarily impressive how efficient the terrorists are in this trailer... At first, the bomber is not sure whether to plant it and considers making a run for it, but the sawn off one signals him to wait. He creates an opening, the bomber makes a run for it, covered by the marksman. The marksman saves the bomber, but is instantly supressed by the remaining CT. The CTs then almost kill the bomber, but he is once more saved by a friendly providing him suppresing fire. The marksman and the sawn off terrorist fall back via a different route, and the bomber gets shot, unlucky. They provide supressing fire, the bomb is picked up, and heres when the next impressive moment comes in. When the new bomber gets past their position and 2 of the defenders die, the remaining one holds his position and tries to maintain covering fire for as long as possible, not caring about falling back. Since at this point its about holding them off for a minute he tries to, he would die upon running dry, but gets taken out with a grenade. It looks like the whole 3 of them were supposed to just keep the CTs pinned down and hold there as long as possible anyway. My point is, when his friends die, the m249 terrorist doesnt even consider retreating. Then the bomber throws a molotov at the ramp, buying him more time and probably drops his pistol when they shoot at him. Their teamwork is immense, they support each other at all times and make very few mistakes.
this trailer was seriously one of the best illustrations on how it "feels" to play counter strike and was well made in almost every aspect, down to the soundtrack. Can't believe they just dropped something this high quality more than a decade ago only to never do it again, kind of sad to be honest

@@petertorok4928 its the launch trailer, not the actual trailer, csgo had a launch trailer that was kind of mid just like the cs2 trailer. Give it a year (about the same amount of time it took for the csgo trailer) and cs2 should have a pretty nice cinematic trailer coming out

Now *this* is a trailer. It doesn't show everything off at once and displays what the creators assumed would be a regular match, and adds emotion and meaning to every character like they are real individual people adding to the realism. You can see the panic in the last CT defusing that bomb, you can see the shock in the terorrist when the original bomb-holder died, it's so good.

funny thing, this is apparantly a custom version of Nuke specifically designed for the trailer and it's not actually in the game
@@markix124 Well it is just the older version of nuke that was originally in the game when it was released. The one we have now is remade from the old version in 2016. However, if you are taking this into account then yes there are some differences between the old version and the one seen in the trailer still. One big difference is that there is a lot of added boxes, crates, and barrels that were not there in game but in the trailer they were.

Honestly one of the best game trailers ever. Even though it’s an animation it perfectly captures the feeling of playing the game and is entertaining in its own right.

I personally feel like this fits Half-Life's multiplayer much more. Incredibly strategic and the next second, frantic and heated. IMO Counter Strike's gameplay isn't too similar to this, so I wouldn't say it 'perfectly captures the feeling'. It does capture the feeling well, though.

The gameplay is different that portrayed, it shows the cts not knowing where the t's are at first, which is inaccurate, but thats not the point. The point is to show this game is cool

Tactics at the start of the round (CT explaining where the main enterence and bombsite is while on chopper)
The intense gunfights, use of grenades to flush out enemies or allow you to push ahead. (Flashbang and grenade scenes)
Team play and trying to carry rounds solo (how the CT's work together, while 1 T is still alive trying to defend the bomb)
Finally how the last CT goes in looking around for his enemy, judging the situation to see if he should run or defuse and the T going for that knife kill instead of just shooting him, like some players do.
It's obviously built on how playtesters played and how devs imagined the game.
Obviously it's changed over the years and some people play it more casually, some more seriously, but you get the point.
Little did we know this game would change our lives...

Its scarily impressive how efficient the terrorists are in this trailer...
At first, the bomber is not sure whether to plant it and considers making a run for it, but the sawn off one signals him to wait. He creates an opening, the bomber makes a run for it, covered by the marksman. The marksman saves the bomber, but is instantly supressed by the remaining CT. The CTs then almost kill the bomber, but he is once more saved by a friendly providing him suppresing fire. The marksman and the sawn off terrorist fall back via a different route, and the bomber gets shot, unlucky. They provide supressing fire, the bomb is picked up, and heres when the next impressive moment comes in. When the new bomber gets past their position and 2 of the defenders die, the remaining one holds his position and tries to maintain covering fire for as long as possible, not caring about falling back. Since at this point its about holding them off for a minute he tries to, he would die upon running dry, but gets taken out with a grenade. It looks like the whole 3 of them were supposed to just keep the CTs pinned down and hold there as long as possible anyway. My point is, when his friends die, the m249 terrorist doesnt even consider retreating. Then the bomber throws a molotov at the ramp, buying him more time and probably drops his pistol when they shoot at him.
Their teamwork is immense, they support each other at all times and make very few mistakes.
