Yes, a really horrific crime - so sad.😔 We have found cases of rejection generally tend to take a tone all of their own. 😔

@@Hopdog230 vær så god! One of our team - our researcher actually - was raised in Norway! Her Norwegian is poor now ("old"), but she understands still if people speak slowly and she can hold a converstaion up to about a 10 year old level providing they are not speaking pure Ny norsk! Lovely to have you Sweden! Thank you again! Not sure if you are interested, the scandals we have covered on our sister channel have some quite juicy ones... Also, we would recommend our compilations! Our last compilation (over 2 hours of stories) was along the theme of crime stories that are stranger than fiction. basically, if you suggested the stories for a film , you would be rejected because they are just too unbelievable. 😉 That link is here: th-cam.com/video/kGKtnrmBoRA/w-d-xo.html thank you again!🙏

Poor Maude!! She must've suffered horribly!! Her poor father and the rest of her family must've been ABSOLUTELY devastated!!
I'm glad the murderer paid the ultimate penalty for his brutality!! No matter how slighted White felt, Maude DID NOT deserve to be murdered, especially in such a violent manner!!
Thanks for sharing Maude's VERY sad story, Robin!! 💔😥❤🤗💞👍

You are right - and it was a particularly vicious crime. The father was terribly devastated. 😔The two had been quite close. You are right - the brutality was particularly shocking - even by today's more jaded society. We have seen in the past the sheer violence displayed by killers who have been rejected. 😔Thank you, as always, for your support!🙏

What a "horrific," murder of a young woman is simply beyond words. I believe White murdered Maud because he found out upon return from his military tour in South Africa that she was in a relationship with another serviceman. I thought he was going to plead insanity or at least have a psychiatrist examine him. Thrilled that justice was eventually served in this heinous crime. Do you know whatever happened to Maud's father? Also, whatever happened to the other serviceman, Jones who was in a relationship with Maud? Great investigating, presenting, backstory, illustrations, photos, and videos, too. Take care 🦋

We did look, and tried to trace, but could not find information on him. War was gearing up, and much was lost.😔We think you are rtight - he reacted form the rejection by Maud who, being a young girl, cannot be blamed! A really terrible crime and particularly vicious. We think, but cannot be sure, that there was an attempt to keep an inanity plea out of it. With war brewing, the UK was greatly ramping up its army and needed the army to be an attractive proposition for a young man to join. This story made the national papers. A story of soldiers being insane fn the army would possibly have had negative repercussions on the military drive that was going on. We think the trial was speeded along, with no insanity plea, to try to make it go away as quickly as possibe. Just specualtion our part, we do not know for sure. 😉

I wonder if White actually did have some sort of frontal brain injury which contributed to his actions or if he was just a violent sadist. It surprises me, anyway, that the defence didn’t at least try an insanity plea with his documented history of fits.

What a load of band-aid/plaster, get real
Anger, jealousy, and shame, are motives 🥶

Great point! 🙏We think, but do not know for certain, that the wrinkle in all of this was the militray. Things were heating up in Europe with rumblings of war. The army needed to be seen as a good choice not only to young men they needed to join, but to the public as well. A "taint" of "join the army where the insane men go could have had repercussions. We do not know this for certain, but it did seem that the trial and execution were pushed hard ot be over with as quickly as possible and out of the public eye. A representative from the army was at the trial throughout. The base there was fairly new. If it had been seen that the base was filled with crazy servicemen that would also have impacted its viable presence there. So, all political, we think. Very good point!🙏

Too true! We tink this one was rejection. The murder was so brutal, so horrific, and so very very angry! We have seen other cases of rejection also brutally vicious. Thank you!🙏

So senseless. We have seen this before - the absolute insanity of a person upon being rejected. The violence of the attack she sustained was incredibly brutal even by today's more accepting standards.😔

😊. Ah yes - we need to be careful and also it was Edwardian times. She was outraged - the Victorian / Edwardian word for r*p*d. It was so violent it had gone up and pierced her internals. The cane had been used repeatedly to beat her face. Utter utter malevolance. We very much hope the poor girl became unconcious early. Very horrific. 😔
