Grabbed one as soon as he posted them. Love it, well worth it. The only thing i wish, and this isnt specific to the peanut, is that lights with secondary LEDs had a focus optic. I'd like to be able to actually use the red for night vision preservation. Even some kind of small lens covering the secondaries under the main lens to give it some kind of a usable beam would be amazing!
I totally understand. One thing you can do, which is the opposite of what you’re asking really, but I think it helps a lot, is to put D-C Fix diffusion material over the areas of the glass that aren’t directly over the main emitters. So cut three small circles so that the main emitter don’t get diffused, but the secondaries are diffused more.
Great vid, would you be able to check how many lumens is the STROBE function in? Im pretty sure its not 100% as its dimmer than turbo. I was planning to use strobe as protection during my travels so im thinking if ill just stick with turbo, or use the strobe ast well as it is not that bright, more on signalling i think..😊
Cool review. When I saw the video banner “the smallest 18350 edc”, I thought that it was a bit exaggerated since I would argue that both the LuxRC minion and the FW3A(18350 tube)would be smaller lights. I have the FW3A/18350 at 25mm W x 63mm L and 61g for the all Ti version without battery (85g with battery). After reading some of the comments, I do agree that it is the smallest McClicky 18350 custom flashlight. The overall smallest custom 18350, albeit a twisty, is the Minion at 20mm W x 45mm L
Welcome to the world of high end American made lights! Think of it in the same vein as a high end watch, like a Rolex. It doesn’t tell time any better, but it’s a work of high end craftsmanship.
Since the driver and MCPCB are one part, it would be very difficult. However, I have to think of you contacted Charles Wiggins ahead of time he’s flow what you wanted? (I don’t really know if that’s possible, just guessing)
Hey man! Would love to hear your thoughts on the Micro Click! I have a Prometheus delta that I absolutely love, but want a smaller light for light carry.
I resisted buying a micro click for years based on price alone. I finally bought a micro click second hand for a nice price, and immediately sold all the pineapple minis I had, and bought two more micro clicks. The focus and output are better in this 10440 lights than in other 14500 lights.
Great video review as always. Love his stuff. Of course, as you know, it isn’t technically the “smallest 18350 EDC.”. The smallest 18350 EDC I own is the Minion. It is less than 1.8 inches tall. Keep up the great videos!
Glorified FW3T?! ;P (really similar shape) Which is even (way) smaller in 18350 config. (I know, e-switch & china mass produced..) Amazing customed lights collection tho.. 👍🏼
Very nice light. Love it. But the price is about 2x more than it should be. I'm looking at a manufacturing cost. A lot of profit on there since its hard to get/Limited. If it had a removable bezel, it would be complete.
I hear you, but I also think this is price pretty competitively against the American Customs market. DC1 is $550 in Ti, Hanko is $800, and even the new FreLux Syn3 will be nearly $400 in mainly Aluminum.
I can make a short one about the DC1 (give me a bit), but I can’t make a DC0 video as I sold mine. I just didn’t “love” the DC0 the way I do the DC1 or micro click (just to name a small light I love).
That is NOT a small 18350 light. Try an Emisar D4 with a 18350 battery tube on for size. It is *significantly* smaller at just under 2.4" compared to this one at 2.85". It has the same width, and also sports tons more emitter options, is a quad emitter, only weighs 74g with battery and costs WAY less. Like $529 LESS than this light. 😀
There are a few noteworthy differences in this comparison. 1) eSwitch vs McClicky (McClicky accounts for a lot of length, and hence why the eSwitch sc64c LE is so competitive even with an 18650) 2) aluminum vs Titanium 3) Chinese production vs American Custom I think Oveready BOSS or Okluma DC1 are better comparison lights. Since I have several D4V2 on the shelf I’ll take measurements (seeing as D4 is discontinued). I’ll report back about Ti weight. That should be interesting. To your point about price, this is a bit like comparing a Toyota to a Bentley. They’re really for different audiences. And similarly there is a large price point difference on those two items as well. EDIT: I took measurements of the Ti D4V2 and Ti KR4 with 18350 tubes, and both without clips or magnets. Here is what I measured: D4V2 Ti 18350: 31.5mm W x 66.4mm L x 125g KR4 Ti 18350: 29mm W x 68mm L x 147g Peanut: 25mm W x 74.6mm L x 90g So the only dimension that the Emisar/Noctigon beat the Peanut in is length, and that's certainly because of the forward clicky switch. I know that Charles was going to attempt to use a different shorter switch initially, but he felt McClicky was still the gold standard for right now. I'm puzzled how you can say Peanut is not a small light? For a McClicky custom, this is the smallest light I've ever held -- it's shockingly small.
@@cheule Nice comparison, thanks for measuring the differences. I would've been shocked if the Titanium d4v2 18350 was under 90 grams! The Peanut is tiny, and it makes sense that those who do not understand switch types (e-switch vs mechanical) and overall flashlight design and construction would be tempted to bring up a d4v2 or fw3a size comparison. For those of us who do understand these things, we know what CWF accomplished by making the Peanut SO small, it's truly groundbreaking. I mean, its smaller than the BOSS!
It's cool and all but the chinese can make the same flashlight for 100$. I'm getting fed up of Americans asking way to much money. I'm Canadian, i love supporting American and Canadian small compagnies but it's getting ridiculous.
lol they clearly coppied wurkkos TS10 is looks just like it but im sure this light cost way way more lol not worth it people buy a wurkkos TS10 if you want a great light and they wurkkos uses ANDRUIL so yeah way better then this lgiht for sure
IMO thickness matters far more than length for EDCability. I wish there were more 18350/18650 lights with
I agree, fortunately this light is also a relatively svelte 25mm in diameter and only 90g in titanium. That point is pretty shocking when you hold it.
@@cheule90g in ti!!! thats wild!

You got it; smallest mcclicky
Looks like a little tank. Very clean look. I understand the price, just hard to justify for most.
It’s definitely not for everyone, but I for one totally think the price is justified as well.
I really dig that stonewash! It does a great job managing scratches and wear - and the grip is subtly improved.
90 grams is quite a surprise!
The battery was outside the light when I removed it from the box, and when I picked up Peanut I gasped at how small & lightweight it was!
Is the secondary light on the peanut brighter than on the oveready boss? This is really impressive. Thanks for the review.
Yes, they are
$579????!!! I about choked just now. I’ll see myself out, stage left.

@cheule yep, ain't got one of those either......
You have to pay way more for the "made in USA" logo and the brand markup. It's definitely not a budget friendly option.
Looks like a lumintop
Great video and info as always.
Since the pill is so thin, would it be difficult to reflow with different LEDs?
