Nice video, enjoyed that. Did that road last May two up, but in the other direction; we were very lucky that we had good weather so the views were very clear. It is my intention to do it again one day and take your route. Cheers, Andy.
Thanks Andy, sorry for delay in replying i've only just seen your comment, Glad you had better weather, i was gutted it was misty for us, like yourself it would be fantastic to do Scotland again, but next visit allow more time to explore sights. thank you again for taking the time to watch videos.
Was great to meet you whilst on your N C 500 tour & thanks for your comments, Wendy & Mike ( john o'groats couple) just subscribed to your channel,so now we have 2 wildbad boys to follow.
Hello 🤘it was lovely to meet you both too, such a small world with you guys only living over the hill from us and we meet at the top of Scotland 👍. I showed Rich your message when he got back from Spain, he was well chuffed 😀.. Thank you so much for watching and subscribing. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip.
If you've ever been there, you would know the passing parts of the road are full of pot holes. If you were to drive you're bike into one, you're going to come off.
Thanks for the mention Greg and fair play to you doing that 2up we had the same weather chucking it down it made going up that bloody hill interesting shall we say. Well done buddy really enjoying the videos :-)
Great video! I’m doing the NC500 next May, bought a GoPro Hero 7..Could you tell me - what size cards did you record on, what video settings, did you use an accessory battery or did you change batteries frequently,..any other info you’d care to share would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Bob, I was using the drift ghost S, camera, on 30fps, battery life was about 3.5/4 hour, I had 4 batteries that I just swapped and charged at night, although I could have charged on the go if I had too. The memory card was a 64gb, (I had 2 of these and a couple of 32gb for back up).. first time filming for me so most of the time (when I remembered) I just left the camera on record and everytime we stopped I checked battery life.. I've no experience yet of GoPro so I can't help with advice on those..
Bob look up 'Steve Clark' on TH-cam , there is a section me and my son (and others do it by accident, when going anti clockwise) completely missed out on the way to Ullapool.
Bit ignorant not allowing the faster traffic to pass. The persons probably got 3 hour round trip to the Kyle of Lochalsh for the shopping or something and they get stuck behind a tourist driving at 20 😡
"I would pull over but..." I simply pull over & let the idiots pass, not worth it mate if their brakes or concentration fails, especially with your kin on the back.
junglie ... Yes your totally right, I probably should have pulled in..He came flying down the hill behind me, but then backed right off and keeped his distance behind me and never made any other attempt to try and pass which was odd, that's why I never mentioned him again.. Thank you for commenting 👍
Great footage. My friends and I are doing this next year cant wait ! Subscribed 🏍🙂
Thanks a lot Mark, hope your weather is better.

bienvenue, merci d'avoir regardé, et je suis heureux que cela vous rappelle votre voyage.
great way to spend my afternoon relaxing...... cheers boys
You are welcome buddy, nice to know you been relaxing with little ole me, hahaha
I did the descent on an old ER5 with the engine switched off using brakes alone .
I thought hardknott pass was the steepest road in the UK? That has a gradient of 30%. Awesome video though mate
Safety First
Personally I though hardnott was harder...but we did do it in what felt like a force 9 gale 😳
I suggest you read the Highway Code to learn how to use the Passing Places properly
fair enough comment i guess, thank you for watching.
