I have druid, warlock, priest, mage, I wonder if I should get the dagger 🗡️ for all of them. Hug the wall strats is looking good, I learned something new, thanks!
Hi, congrats to your dagger! I'm at 20 runs after the buff, hoping for mine too. I never knew about the trick jumping on the wall like that. It does seem easier so she does not catch up. Thanks for the tip. Doing it a Spriest.
Thanks and good luck on yours! I found the trick in an old season of mastery video while digging around for solo strategies and thought it worth sharing. Just be careful about her evade healing, check the video description for details if you missed that.
I just heard the Blade of Eternal Darkness drop rate was buffed! Time to farm even more, good luck fellow seekers of darkness! Edit: Darn the lockout reset trick got fixed so it's back to 5 per hour. I'm going to start killing the wild offering boss with my off spec to fill in time.
Ok now I'm gonna have to try this stratagy... I thought she would catch up to you without Feline Swiftness but it looks like you weaving in and out of the corners slows her down
Have you had her heal herself yet!?!? I had her down to execute range and she randomly stopped and healed up to above half hp.... I still downed her it just took longer. I've soloed her a bunch of times and only seen her heal once.
@@az9498 yes I have had that issue and sometimes she heals to full >.< but I've found ways to avoid it that usually work, check the video description I put it in there yesterday.
34 solo runs deep now. So I tried the wall jump strat and it can work but it's a little more risky imo. It's like a high risk high reward because you can spec deep Boomy & kill her a little faster but I've had her heal up on a couple wall jumps (1 of the times I wasn't watching her rock throw cast and got stunned on the wall and she healed up) I still killed her. You just gotta cat form around to keep distance till innervate or mana pots are back up to take her down again lol. I've been using a rank 3 Rejuv for when I only need a little bit of healing.
@@az9498 Nice! I've done 46 solo runs, 132 runs total farming for the epic dagger. I agree this strat is a little risky and requires focus, I mess it up on occasion too and that really sucks losing time but I can usually cover it with innervate. It sounds like you take a lot less damage than I do, I'm guessing it's because I stop to cast 1.5s starfires from max range when I can and then she hits me with more boulders. I had to resort to the wild growth rune to stay alive while running (595 mana for full hp bar basically). I'm pretty sure it saves me time but it's more risky and mana intensive. I am raid geared for boomy though so I may have more mana to risk throwing around like that idk your situation.
I just tested it and she doesn't seem to be moving any faster to me. Make sure you have the minor speed increase on your boots. If you run in a straight path she will gain on you slowly, but as soon as you start sliding down a wall she stops running and you get extra time to get away. Cat form sprint and swiftness potions help for emergency getaways if you let her get too close towards the end of the loop. And if you are having trouble with her getting close don't stop to cast for anything till you have a bit of room.
Do you know why she randomly resets like a huge part of her health sometimes? I got her down to 9k, and then she reset back to 30k, then back down to 8k then back up to full health. I can't actually see any reason why it was happening, but I did 92k damage to her in that one pull, she just kept resetting.
Why did you spec into feline swiftness if you never used cat form (unless I missed it, I did skim)? Going to give this strat a try tomorrow. I've also heard you can use the rock in the middle of the room to kite?
That is my off spec for the run up, I took feral swiftness and Feral Instinct for quicker and safer runs, then I swap to full boomy when I get to the boss.
I do try to use the big rock in the middle to make her run around a bit more while I cross the room, also if she throws a boulder at you and you manage to hide behind the rock it won't hit you :)
To farm for the epic dagger without competition, the boss drops are yours to vender/de, and it can be done in the same amount of time as a raid group killing their way to the boss. Also I didn't want to ask my friends to farm hundreds runs with me (I did 172 total because most of my kills were before the drop rate got buffed to 2%)
In Cataclysm it's mentioned this is daughter of Therazane the Stonemother.

It finally dropped for me 🥳
172 runs total, 88 solo kills. 42 of which were after the buff, so I would guess the 2% drop rate is what they set it to.

It's not the corners actually, it's the slanted walls making her evade briefly as you slide down them which stops her running for a second.

Does anyone know how to stop the health resetting she rest to full 3 times in one kill for me…
I wrote my strategies to avoid her resetting in the description
So does jumping on wall slow her down or will boot enchant just outrun her?
Jumping on the wall makes her evade and stop running briefly, the boot enchant helps a lot too though.
first kill took me 3 hours. then it was easy.
Is it still doable? Because i have the feeling that they increased her speed. Even with catform its nearly impossible to make some distance.
