It's a major hit to all low and mid level players and even some end game players. Besides the nerfs, lots of these changes make Hydra stronger and more difficult to score high points, but no reduction on the point requirements for the chests?? Plarium, this is bull$hit!!
Now i wont be able to hit the 1.2B damage needed for personal rewards chest…
Yannica or Trunda?
Same here. It took all three of my teams performing their best to get the chests each week.

No i dont use trunda or yannaica teams, but the amount of damage standard teams can do will be lowered by a TON due to lower turn likit and damage nerfs
Plarium: “We introduced Hydra clash, implemented in poorly which incentivized cheese teams, then spent 18 months pumping so much power creep into the game that now we have to rebuild hydra. RIP Emic, RIP TAUNT it was the only place in the game Taunt was useful, so so sad that taunt is not an option for anything.in the game.
The one thing i really really hate about Hydra is the way they ignore Veil Mechanics, its very annoying to have the head of decay target a champ under veil or the head of mischief. They shouldnt be able to do that.
They start the video saying hydra was too limiting but then make it a lot harder is supposed to allow more players to take part in it? Removing the ability for taunt against hydra and the digestion changes seem like it will make it limiting for a lot of players.
im okay with everyhing except the digestion part, my normal team have nly one damage dealer rathalos if he gets devouvered my sicia will have a har time saving him

Trunda nerf at last. She is, or should I say was, broken in hydra and needed a rebalance 2 years ago. Is this too far though? Time will tell, testing to be done.
Wixwell shield nerf still better be viable for CB or they need to readjust until it is... period. Nerfed in competitive PvP mode, no problem. Nerfed in PvE, big problem.
Immunity for respawned heads... I gave that idea to Saph at least 3 months before he said it, and probably because it was one of the top comments in one of his vids on Trunda/hydra.
Turn count lowered. I'm ok with it in principle, depends on how much harder that makes it for everyone that already struggles to do it, to get top box in HC, remembering that the heads are ramping up much, much faster too, with digestion shield going to at least 50% of the hydra head's hp from the clip, and turns lowered too. Those who needed 1k+ turns to get those scores (top HC box) will be failing their runs, and also the reward box. This is inherently unfair to always screw the little guy, because a handful of people at the top doing stupid things with op accounts, and it may need to be adjusted up again.
The digestion is going to hurt everyone other than the BS accounts they tested it on. This one thing is going to be the next big gap between the top and everyone else imo. This will need tweaking and CC's right now should be telling Palarium that this might need a quick revisit and changes made to this element in the overall changes. They need to not close the door on it now and take the feedback/act quickly.
I don't do the taunt strat but they have completely nerfed this instead of adjusting it. They simply could have given a head a 15% - 25% chance to ignore taunt on a rotating cycle. A head has a symbol that states this head currently can ignore taunt. If when it dies, it moves to a random head. They didn't have to make this strat, and thus the buff itself completely worthless. Paylarium loves RNG, so give taunt a "chance" to still be viable. For many, this is their way into hydra, so once again, they stomp on the little guy, and gal with big hobnailed Paylarium boots.
Idea... What if they changed the invulnerability after respawn into only 3 heads can be dead at any given time and also one head on respawn will have 100% block damage. That way the hydra is always active and can be a threat. They could lessen the digestion shield by 20-25%
something tells me that all hydra damage will decrease significantly for everyone, both the cheese teams as well as for normal non-cheese teams... and then plarium will come charging to the rescue over the next 6 months with new stronger champs with kits designed to overcome these tougher hydra mechanics, to entice us to go all in ($$$) during their 10x, progressive, and pri$m crystal events
Yeh, and then they have raked in enough, they will nerf these champs so they can introduce new meta champs.
Agree with your opinion 100%. Overall, positive about the changes, and hate the taunt nerf. Where is that useful at all? No reason to bother with it in shogun
REEEEEEEE!!! I'm ok with most of the changes. It seems like enemy max hp champs will be more relevant. I just don't like that Plarium has prioritized events for champs in this trunda comp knowing they'd rug us eventually.

"We want you to experiment with different tactics and teams ( *Every* tactic, hell nearly every *debuff* is *non functional* in bosses, *WHAT TACTICS?* ) switching things (teams) up each week? *EXCUSE ME?* Find me one person who wants to spend *more* time playing this game?!?!?! They have absolutely lost me on this.
They need to fix the rewards, both for regular hydra, since it's MUCH harder, & clash since again, it's much more harder, and they need 4th & 5th place rewards as well
as for the changes, some are OK, but lots of the changes are going to wreck lots of comps

I'm in that position that changes won't hurt me much. Still working on Mithrala fragments and can't do nothing more than 15m on hydra hard, so this nerf shouldn't affect me much. Don't have Trunda yet but at some point ill get her cause shes dwarf and i love them. Even if she's nerfed her to the ground :) Same with shield teams. This nerf can't hurt me cause don't have Wix and still working on UNM CB team and have no clue how to build good one with my rooster :) But i understand ppl who put their effort, resources, money in those champs. So sorry that nerf bat hitted You so badly. I'm sure you will build even better teams or maybe that won't affect You that much
There will be a problem with CB Wixwell teams as well: I've run UNM CB without quickbattle to check actual dmg done near end.. and it is much worse than I've expected. After boss turn 150 (which isn't even near the end) I've seen hits in 250-350k range from AoE. If I remember correctly Wix can grow 3% per buff, so max 30% shield grow. 1M - 300k is 700k. 30% regrow is 210 -> he won't get back to 1m (and that is even not counting the fact he won't grow shield every turn..). So yeah, 1M cap may be very very bad even for CB teams.
It's not going to be as bad for Demon Lord. People will still be able to 1 key UNM easily with him, trust me on this one 😉
@@OddOneGaming it isn't about 1 keying UNM, noone needs Wixwell for it. I am talking about doing 260M / key now with Wixwell. In my clan two people (me and one more) have Wixwell based teams and we are doing most of UNM/NM dmg, so weaker and newer players can benefit from defeated CB (double drops). Change like this will stop it - and while I am in the spot where I don't care that much about extra chest, those weaker clanmates really do.
So yes, it IS important for smaller clans that depend on Wixwell comps to defeat the boss, not just 1 key it.
@@r_4_k-drone4321 I do understand that impact, however from a game balance point of view, do you think it's normal that 3 people kill the clan boss doing 5 times the required damage for the top chest? I'm not sure it is. The damages will still be high with good wixwell teams and strong DPS, it's just gonna see la 20-30% damage drop there.
@@OddOneGaming I think that from game balance point of view CB is irrelevant. It doesn't affect any "competitive" area (if we can talk about competitive in pay-to-win type of game). Like I've said, it will just make my low-power clanmates stay low-power longer..
My cents. The nerfs are bad. 1. There is no good reason to nerf Trunda simply because of her damage. This is a champion-collecting game, deal with it. The PvP aspect of an otherwise should-have-been PvE content is the problem. Remove it. 2. They should have just added as someone pointed out, an ultra nightmare hydra, where the taunt is ignored. 3. The cap on the shields should have been strictly on hydra.

I use wixwell and trunda. Happy to see the nerfs. I wanted to see the mechanic abuse removed.
In reflection I'd have liked to possibly see taunt stay but again no issue to me that they have gone.
This to me means you now have to build proper teams...although I see Taras swapped in for trunda and away we go.
Loads will be cross and I get it but the massive scores have only come from mechanic abuse and trunda being broken. So.now they fixed it. It'd been coming.
Dam, these new changes are going to knock off like 20-60 million off my main team I bet. The decapitated heads now having a damage cap, along with 500 less turns? Yea man dam. Just when I got my new main team set up and was finally able to 1 shot HM Hydra, and I was going to start pushing into Brutal this week.........Suppose I'll just go and hit that dusty ol trail again and go back to praying to RNGeezus so he can get off his lazy, fat @^^ and give me the last 2 epics I need for my Mikage that I've been waiting to get since March, or even better, Blessings for Gnut, Ninja, Ronda, and/or Eostrid that I've been wait a YEAR for..........except Eostrid of course.
Wow , now all of our taunt champs are going in the vault….the one place packmaster was any good he’s now useless. Wasted time, money and energy on that fusion I guess. Not to mention the resources it took to build him.
Now Wixwell the one champ the community was allowed to vote on is nerfed. Time , money and energy went into that fusion. As well as all the resources to build him.
Then time energy and money to build teams around him. The one champ in the game that should never be touched.
Hyped him up let us vote on his skills to get us invested in him as a champ. We spend our time and money doing the difficult fusion. We grind to build him and teams around him for months now. While they rake in the money by putting him in boosted summon events and prism pools etc….. just raking in the money.
Only to nerf him when he isn’t the one doing the ridiculous damage?
It’s no different than a rug pull scam, and if a company did that with a crypto coin it would criminal fraud.
A year in just finally able to get 10 million in hydra to the good chest in normal.just recently pulled Trunda and she has a death sentence. Fairly new players don't have a chance at all now. All because of game wide CC Score Jealousy.
Overall I think it is a good change. Trunda was a problem and needed a fix.

You say trunda is the problem but when the whales come out with the next double yemeko team with new big hitter is trunda still the issue.you can't nerf whales and krakens they will just use the next best team
All the cc keep saying how great hydra is yet. None of them have created any tools or made there cites around hydra like deadwood jedi. Cc be sus

I don't really understand the whole anti-cheese thing. You use the champs you pull. How is Yannica/Wixwell bad due to being considered cheese but 2x Yumeko is not considered cheese. Silly argument IMHO.
I wasted a lot of resources getting Shy'ek and upgrading a team around him based on the abilities Plarium sold me 3 months ago. Pretty shitty Plarium killed Shy'ek for now. They need to buff him now and give us a leggo hound or three for him.
2x Yumeko IS cheese team as well, but they enabled Trunda to cheese insane numbers of DMG, so I don't know where you got me saying they are NOT a cheese team 😅 Taunting removed from hydra was a really bad move.
i dont care..it not effect me at all..i will get my chests bcause i dont use those champs..so..who cares.
Thanks Content Creators - you may have destroyed my clan - your "balance changes" have my clan members threatening to quit. You all have been complaining endlessly about Trunda - who will now be useless thank you - you won't spend 1 iota of effort on the arena meta being crowd control. Thanks for killing clans and driving away players

@@dartholsson3430 and the rest of us not in the top 1%? I've tried making a trunda team. It failed because I don't have yumeko. My clan will lose huge amounts of damage by this trunda nerf - we collectively pull 4 billion and most is not from trunda. But there is a good chunk. When I wake up and have clan mates threatening to quit the game because of this, and the CCs will go back to their smug, shame on plarium (even though they did what they wanted) selves I'm going to call them out
