I've ridden my Epic Evo three rides so far, just picked it up last week! This thing is a rocket and the suspension really is dialed in. I thought maybe i'd want to tweak some things a bit but for me it's just about perfect right off the get go! My main issue is even when I'm done riding and I get home, I want to go back out again!
@Bobby Lea ,Bicycling, so after riding both the Specelized Epic evo and the Cannondale Scalpel SE, which one is you favourite, for a more casual and capable XC but noRacing style?
I'm 6'1" and according to size carts right between a L and XL frame for the Epic. I see you rode an XL.....Im leaning towards the Large......any advice?
Hi! Bobby here - I'm 6'2" with a 78cm saddle height, and found the XL to fit perfectly. While you're in the middle of the size chart, if your saddle height is similar, you may be flirting with the minimum seat post insert on the L. I suggest looking into the XL, unless you know you like a shorter reach relative to your size.
Great! You will love it. I'm gonna test the Evo this week. I have a Spark RC for about a month and need to try the Evo because it may be more suitable for my style. But the Spark RC might be hard to beat especially when pushed hard, where it feels the best!!
I was just at one of my local trails and a guy showed up with the 2021 SWorks large. He was pretty disappointed. Overall he liked the bike but he was seriously bummed that the breaks and shifter will slam the top tube in the event of a crash. Today I saw a 2021 expert at the local shop and this wasn’t the case. The breaks and shifter ((XO) cleared but just barely, like a 1/8”. Anyone else have this issue?
Jeeezz no one cares you are poor. We get it. Get a job. We really don't care. We will continue buying them while you continue to complain. Get over it.
So regular Epic & EVO S-Works costs the same but surely the EVO must be cheaper to manufacture; no brains & no powermeter so the margins on the EVO must be insane...anyways, did Specialized assume no xc-trail rider care about a powermeter? As a marathon & ultra endurance machine, sureley some people like a powermeter; so much easier to train & then pace yourself in the race etc etc etc
The new Epic is here and ready to rip. Are you excited for the new all-out race machine, or is the beefier Epic EVO more your speed?

You think I could fit 27.5+ in that frame/fork?
PLEASE ADD MORE ABOUT THE EVO. especially accurate weight
Daniel Hernandez BC I would remove the dropper and instal that carbon seat post that the Epic comes with.
And a very honest comparison between the two. Pretty please especially the XL WEIGHT
The new EVO all the way. Perfection!!
Thank you so much, I have an Sworks epic and 2019 epic evo !!
Great vidéo ! 👍💪Congrat !

I think EVO for racing too!! what do you think?
Thumbs up for the Floyd's hat👍
Do you have your bike in living room? Haha
Looks like a sweet place with those stone walls!

great bike - if you race and if there is a race scene

How tall are you? Just checking as you are running the XL size.... thank you.
It's great !!
I will buy the Spark RC.

Yes, I have the large EVO and had to make some adjustments to allow clearance. Is still very close.
Evo all the way
I will stick with my 2008 S-works HT . It is a bike I can afford lol
Epic is just a trail bike, why is it not suitable for use in marathons as suggested by EVO?
Let us know , how long that brain will last without giving any problems. Thanks
That new frame looks so ugly compared to the Epic 2014/5/6/7 Models.
Are you high or something? It looks a lot better!
It would be nice to own this bike, but I would have to mortgage my house to afford it ?
Clickbait on the EVO....
Way to expensive for a bike.

Power meter is $800, so is an axs dropper... fair swap.
Jesper Andersson They added the elect Tronic dropper which might be a comparable cost
Sorry... how much for a Taiwanese frame? Looks like nonsense to me. You can buy a better bike for half the price.... Scott Spark
Overpriced and I had a love hate relationship with the brain
Completely out of reach for most of us
I’m not tryna pay for a bike that cost more than a car
