The ocean theme pouring turned out exquisite. The colors are wonderful together and it truly looks like the different levels of the ocean are different intensity and shades of blue. Flipping the middle cup the opposite way really left a dramatic effect. Thanks for all the creative and unique techniques. You are a master teacher for us beginners. The brighter the better. Hi Gilly! 🙂 That's gorgeous. I'm with your hubby. It looks like a Google Earth pic of a shallow sandy river. My TV plays the images...and street art, all sorts. With my vision so bad, I often think the Google Earth stuff is acrylic flow art of some sort! Lol There's a spot near Noosa I used to go. I knew it as Weyba/Weiba. A BBQ area on the tidal river. Sandbanks like the man said. Shallow, sandy, warm, you sit in the dips when the tide's out, for the extra depth. The dips are Ray beds! Lol The other arm is deeper. Boats... and the odd shark go there. 😉 As soon as you released the cups you can see the beautiful beachy colours!! I love it! Thankyou for joining my Sunday arvo! ✌️💜💡🌈

My brother in California introduced me to pouring...and I found your site on TH-cam...have supplies but haven’t done any pouring; decided to use my sewing skills to make facial masks for my family members. Did my first flip cup today.... I really like 3/4 of it but one corner went a little muddy. Oh well, I will try again. Neat idea sectioning off the canvas that wait. Can’t wait to see how that works
I'm with your hubby, this does look like a river but to me it looks like a flooded river with the beaches partly underwater and the cells remind me of objects that are above or very close to the surface. To bad you lost the other one, however this one is truly stunning. Love the shimmer.

You're right! We must keep busy. I'm cleaning a lot. But, I reward myself with time for my art. I find I reflect so much on our values and what we have taken for granted! We will have a whole new appreciation for the little things in life. All our beaches and parks are close off and barricaded! We are required to wear a mask of we go outside of our houses stay 6 feet away from others. The death count still continues to go up! This clip cup turned out great! Beach colors are happy. I did your rainbow swipe and it's fantastic! Now I'm going to try it on 24x32 inch Canvas to put up in the window. I want to go outside and scream, but someone might call the cops and they'll take me away!

I wonder what would happen if you used your straw to blow out those big blobs of color. And maybe the color that you put on the corners blow that out with the straw and see what would happen with that. You make my brain bloom with all kinds of ideas. Thank you for sharing all of your work.

Can I ask, if your canvas is not completely flat to start with and you are using push pins, could you not adjust the push pins to make it level - like you would when installing kitchen cabinets or fridge on an uneven floor for example? Could be your push pins as I have the same problem and some pins are longer then others.
