Bro, we don't wear lungi like that as you show in the first section.
How we actually wear this is littile bit complex and need a good level of experience to wear it beautifully. It is worn much like in punjabi style. But the difference is that panjabi style has a dengerous opening at the front but lungi don't have that.
The way you show has some drawbacks. You can move fast in this way because of circular shape and fitting.
But, south indian and panjabi styles are really good.
