A whole lot of people who don't know you owe you a big thank you for all the tree work you did during the storm. I live in Texas where we were not involved in the storm but I want to thank you for being a very good neighbor.

Hi Doug and Ashley! Ashley, thank you so much for working hard to edit a video for us to keep us informed! Doug, you are such a great neighbor, getting that tree removed for them! You both are good Godly people! I'm so relieved you all weathered the storm and are safe!!! Glad the investment property is good too! For that matter, I'm glad to hear the whole town made it through!!! Love to you all, and again, thank you for the up-date!❤❤❤❤
All praise, honor, and glory to our Heavenly Father for watching over this town! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
P.S. glad the power is on for you too!

Tell Doug kudos for getting that tree out of the road, that will help the neighborhood lots, ppl getting in and out. Glad your area was doing pretty good and no serious damage that you saw. I don't know how it is there, but times we've had storms here, the stores would be COMPLETELY empty of anything that didn't have to be cooked (why I'm glad I have gas stove, I can still make something). Since no major problems, everything should be back to normal fairly soon.
I didn't even think about it, but 2 storm life hacks: Before the storm, freeze 2L or gal jugs of water and keep those in the fridge/freezer to help save the food in case you lose power or can't power the fridge. Other one is fill up bathtubs with water, that gives you some good handy water for flushing or pulling out a small bucket worth and doing the "sink bath" thing.
I know y'all have a bit of cleanup ahead, but glad the Lord kept you guys well and safe through it. Thanks for sharing a little of it that you could, and keeping us up on how it went.
    🐉🤗

Thank you. You've been in all our thoughts. Your such a good neighbor. ❤😊 Stay safe.
We live in OK, we have some extreme weather, droughts, high winds, daysNdays of rain, ice storms, tornados...so we invested in a portable Generac generator just to keep the freezer/fridge running. Several yrs ago we were w/out power for 7 days after a ice storm. We haven't had to use it yet, but it's there just in case. Another tip, fill empty plastic jugs (milk/juice) with water to flush toilets or sponge baths. (Store under the house maybe) It will save your well water storage for drinking.

I was relieved to discover your update video. So thankful your property didn't flood. It was so typical of Doug albeit extra gracious to observe him clearing limbs from roads. Ashley and Doug are always such caring, considerate people. Any time sketchy weather is possible we fill 5 gallon buckets and bathtubs with water. We bail water from the tub to flush toilets. The 5 gallon containers were reserved for washing faces, brushing teeth, cooking, etc. Tomorrow I have an appointment to tour a home with a well. I haven't owned or resided in a home with a well so of course I appreciate the info re a holding tank. Being an informal shopper is paramount. Plus I would consider that expense when negotiating. Stay safe!

I was so pleased to see your video pop up before my eyes . After seeing the horrors experienced by many as a result of the storm I kept wondering how you were faring .I’m very pleased your experience was not a devastating one ,but simply instructive as to your next moves for preparation in readiness for future chaotic weather. How very good of you to do your civic duty and clear trees from the road . What a friendly and much kinder world it would be if everyone did those things instead of standing about waiting for some other person or authority to do the job .❤❤❤
