Vault X only recently switched to boxes -- they were bagged for a long time. Supposedly all these binders are made in the same factory -- this includes some far more expensive big name binders, and as you note, some much less expensive brands as well. I don't know how true this is, but at first glance this seems plausible. If one reads the box, it says Designed in the U.K. (where Vault X is located), manufactured in China. If I had to guess there's probably a single factory putting these out that offers a small variety of customizations. The "design"is probably just deciding on which options to choose and designing the logo that's stamped on them.
I don't understand why none do a longer spine and longer spaces between the pages, double sleeves will cause unpleasant bumps, but single sleeves will make ygo cards move around the pages

Hi, I have a question: Are the binder's pockets big enough to store the cards with the special Pokemon Elite Trainer Box Sleeves on them? Just because these sleeves are slightly larger and sturdier than regular sleeves. Thanks!
I get ~0,021 per pocket. When buying 3 by 3 (9) pocket sleeves and an A4 document folder. If I order some bulk I may ask for a volume discount on sleeves making it even cheaper :)
do ultra pro penny sleeve work with this binder? and Ultra Pro Standard Deck Clear Protector Sleeves or do you need to get the vaultx sleeves. Nice Digimon cards bring make good memories.
Greatly appreciate the review, I have several Vaultx 9 pocket binders but I had no idea that they offered a 12 pocket binder. I’m definitely gonna pick one of these up. I’m planning on storing a master set of Paldea evolved as well as the Japanese equivalent sets all in one binder; snow hazard, clay burst, and triplet beat. Almost the perfect amount of pockets for all 4 sets. I think it would be pretty cool to have both English and Japanese of the full sets combined into one binder.

"12-Pocket" refers to the number of pockets per page, so a 24-pocket binder doesn't exist in that context. It's probably just odd wording in the product listing.

Yep, they absorb moisture. It will help prevent your cards from warping if you store them in a humid room/environment.

Any sleeve should fit! I tend to use standard size ultra pro

Penny sleeves come in different sizes- Japanese (small), perfect fit, and standard. They’ll all fit in the binder.

Is there a risk for the cards to bend in the long term?
It's pretty rare to see cards bend or warp when stored in a binder properly. I'd be surprised if they got damaged.

This binder is a really good purchase in my opinion. 9 or 12 is a personal choice. I prefer 12 because I find it much more appealing to look at.
