I’m from Macau which is not in China but considered as a Chinese city, so I can cross a gate with ID and those things my bags then I’ll get to China and it is absolutely great ,I went to GuangZhou once and went to a mall, it is ABSOLUTELY beautiful 😍 I miss it and I got Heytea’s brown sugar boba 🧋once and great highly recommended but fellows I’m not saying this bc I’m part of China ,I also don’t like the language, it’s very hard and I am from an English school 🏫 but we still have Chinese so it is still very hard and exams are coming.

I took several pre pandemic special China tours meant only for Chinese who are non Chinese citizen living abroad. They took us to the usual tourist places and businesses selling us stuff like tea, jewelry, art work, etc. These 8 night tours include air fare from LAX, 5 star hotel rooms, meals, tour bus, tour guides speaking only Chinese, airport transportation, paid admissions to nearly all tourist places. Special shows were extra. At the time these tours cost about $500 US. A great deal which allowed me to make several trips to China at a bargain price.
I'm an Indian and China is probably the best nation with best people out there. (Just the government isn't nice) I want to work and live in china... Even though I'll earn less, than I currently do in UK, but I felt happiness there. But sadly I can't do it because I would have to study medicine in Chinese again for years.
It has many great things to see, do, and eat (I won't touch politics, not my problem or interest), but being able to chew the air on bad days is... not for me.

I lived in Shanghai for 7 years. And was able to visit almost every province. I loved living there but I experienced the lockdown. It was horrible & terrifying & bc of it hundreds of thousands of people have left. I hope the whole country is able to recover bc it's truly a remarkable place.
Tip, don't go to China during Chinese New Years when the entire country is off and at the train station. P.S. don't get stuck in an elevator on the first day of Chinese New Years. You will still be in the elevator a week later when people have their first day back from work.
Crowds aren't actually that bad, it's more the sight of it that might scare you, but once they open the gates everything is very efficient is fast, which is what matters. There are no crowds as in: eternal queing, delay problems etc It's just everything is "more" and "bigger" 😅

I like watching WalkEast videos (because you see a lot of people just living their lives, hearing universal human experiences with a mild language barrier, etc.) and other videos of people exploring around China, I want to go someday. The only reason I haven’t is because I’m terrified of the plane ride. As a well-traveled middle-aged man, I have no desire to travel to China. Ironically, I have been to China many times since the early 2000s for work, and am familiar with the culture and people. There are simply more attractive countries to visit instead of China.
How did you buy train tickets online? I was there 2 weeks ago and unless I have a Chinese government issued ID, I must go to a physical kiosk to buy train tickets (anywhere in China).

Maybe it's because the name 'China' triggers negative sentiments among Westerners in general nowadays that you decided to choose such a title to attract views, but as someone from China i find the title really obnoxious. As a well-traveled middle-aged man, I have no desire to travel to China. Ironically, I have been to China many times since the early 2000s for work, and am familiar with the culture and people. There are simply more attractive countries to visit instead of China.
I disagree. But I may be biased because I am Chinese. I traveled many countries and I find China with the most diverse landscape and culture sites

How did you buy train tickets online? I was there 2 weeks ago and unless I have a Chinese government issued ID, I must go to a physical kiosk to buy train tickets (anywhere in China).

China is good 👍, but people are not as rude as in New York City where I am now ,and it's so many people in New York City, and they are really rude, but Shanghai is really nice people not bad at all.
China is heaven compared to my third world neighbour India. And yet, we seem to be a sought after destination for many westerners.

September happens to be the day when college students start school,the train is rather crowded.
You can scan your passport now? When I left in 2020 you had to show your passport at the train stations in Nanjing and Wuxi.

Notices booming by title when the clip is not about the title
the title is grossly misleading. Maybe it's because the name 'China' triggers negative sentiments among Westerners in general nowadays that you decided to choose such a title to attract views, but as someone from China i find the title really obnoxious. I only came to know that you didn't mean anything like that towards the end of the video, and too many people judge the videos by their titles without even finishing them. So this title really doesn't help alleviate the negative bias on China.
Agree. One can see many comments where some people disappointed because it's not a "let's hate on China" video. It's so funny to me that some people waste their times on social media to hate a country they never even visited.
