I might do a few showcase yea but I'm in no rush to do it. For your question on Luocha, depends on your Luocha eidolons. If E0 Luocha, all he really needs to do is do basic attacks as Blade will keep forcing his auto-heal for his energy which then allows Luocha to keep casting his ultimate which then allows him to gain more stacks for his field.

Honestly base on leak, Fuxuan is really easy to build also depends on you because she can be full support (Full HP and ER with the Dmg reduction relic) or DPS (New Relic with Salsoto set to get free CR like 44% (her trace have CR), Honestly if Fu Xuan also get Free CR on skill then you can just dont care about substat just find HP and if you get that much HP on substat you can also use ER planar).

You're starting to make me consider pulling for him, but not having Bronya feels like I'm missing out on a possible godly combo. This is a great video. I am actually surprised that Mutual Demise is his best F2P LC, because that was what I used before looking up any guides about Blade. As someone who only has Natasha as my healer, I am running a slightly unorthodox build using 4pc Guard of Wuthering Snow because I didn't have any good relics for him. His incoming healing buff works on the health recovery effect when below 50% hp, which basically negates the health drain from his enhanced attacks (You lose 10% HP per enhanced attack but gain 9.6% HP from the 4pc effect with the healing buff). I also pair him with Fire MC using March's LC as the shields break from any attack in MoC and the extra damage reduction helps to reduce the hp loss from getting hit. I'm quite impressed with his performance as he carried my team in MoC 8 while having subpar relics, like a Break Effect rope as I didn't have HP rope for him.

Im a fairly new player and i know this video is from a while ago now. Since the release of fu xuan and also the fact thst lynx supplies additional aggro and HoT, do you feel they edge out or compare to luocha/bailu for healers on blade teams?
I'll be saving this vid until after 20 days. Maybe Blade will come home. No jades, collected all chests, done all quests, and did the trials for jades but it wasn't enough. With secret vow against bosses it doesn’t fluctuate as much right? Since bosses have huge amounts of hp so even if the hp% of the boss is lower since it’s based on current hp then it’s fluctuation isn’t as high assuming current hp is flat hp if it’s hp % then that’s sad
Currently i have bronya luocha and bailu being 3 very strong charcters that synergize quite well with blade as you said in the video but even though i have all these characters should i pull for blade cuz im aimin for kafka, i know this sounds dumb because it is but im curious to see other peoples opinion.
If you have a well-built Serval, you don't need Kafka. Blade is really strong for so many reasons beside his individual performance, there's just no other good wind damage dealer at the moment.
@Kina- they nerfed their synergy together because originally Kafka didn't have a way to do lightning dot so she needed serval to do that making her NEED her at first, now she's basically useless unless you are comping for more lightning breaks.
Well uh my serval sucks,but ya know what im riskin it,im gonna try to get both kafka and blade.ive done it before with SW and luocha why not do it again?And even if i lose 50/50 theres a high chance i get welt or someother good charcter like himeko or another copy of bronya and i get guaranteed kafka :D
I loved Blade too much to skip him even without Bailu/Luocha and Bronya. I even managed to snag his LC. I'm about 98 pulls away from my pick a 5 star. Hopefully I'll get one of them in my next Standard pity and then be able to claim the other eventually.

Can you do an in depth video on HP% sphere vs Wind dmg% Sphere? Like what would be the difference if you dont use Blade's signature LC, or if you don't have Bronya?
If you don't use Unreachable Side, the effects of HP sphere becomes stronger actually. The reason is due to the fact that Unreachable Side provides HP% and of course, HP% sphere will stack with it additively. It is possible that by using HP% sphere with an LC that does not provide any HP% boost, the 1.5% gap should be closed to 0% or make HP% even stronger overall. Even on individual performance.
Hi Dreamy thank you for the content! If I only have an S1 A Secret Vow, should I use S1 Something Irreplaceable or S5 Mutual Demise? This is assuming I am using Luocha and I do not have Bronya.
If with Luocha, I might just suggest using Something Irreplaceable. Both Mutual Demise and Secret Vow are very hard to use with Luocha. I would suggest Mutual Demise however if your healer is Natasha or Bailu.
I have blade sitting at 57/125 with his signature set & rutilant arena which totals out the stat at 73/125, which also procs the 20% basic atk bonus (all without mutual demise crit bonus). Would mutual demise s5 be better in this case or collapsing sky at s5? I don't have Arlan lc sadly

Hi dreamy, i loved the guide. I noticed that you didnt talk about his speed at all, do u think its necessary to have him on main stat Speed boots? or just hit a low cap? how much speed do u think he needs? thanks in advance
I did recommend SPD boots on his final build section. How much more SPD he needs will entirely depend on you. If you do not have Bronya, you don't necessarily need more speed unless you are doing some tryhard run like trying to achieve 0-cycle clears. If you do want that, you aim for 134 SPD minimum. If you have Bronya, you then aim for 134 SPD on Bronya then Blade should be 1 or more SPD higher than her, so basically 135 SPD or more. If you really want a "minimum" SPD requirement, I probably recommend 128.

I tried using mutual demise on him and pair him up with Luocha. It does not work as Luocha just Heals him back to full health most of the time, diminishing the Crit Rate Boost.

I don't look at leaks so I can't do early theorycrafting. I don't have access to the test server either. I only have access to the media server which happens before a new version releases. It has the final kit of the character which is better to use for theorycrafting since it already gives an accurate representation of the final build. Not sure how I can give tips on how to theorycraft. For sure, understanding the damage formula is one. Other than that, you just gotta work on analyzing the character's kit.

Yes, they can work together. Not to mention, Wind element's break has a pretty strong DoT if the enemy broken is a boss. Kafka needs speed tuning for her follow ups but not many characters can permanently use their basic attacks on their turns unlike Blade.
Also, you don't have to worry about whether you are gonna miss out on Kafka Sampo pair. I tested it on the media server and its pretty bad. The damage ceiling is high but sampo just takes too long to get his wind shear stacks to max.
@@redcloud7447 Luka will also be on Kafka's banner and by all testing/math is infinitely better a pairing for her as physical dot is stronger than wind, as well as his kit having built in interaction with DoT's while being SP neutral allowing Kafka to play SP negative. Break DoTs are also separate from baseline ones so Blade misses out a little in that regard, whereas Luka has 100% uptime on his baseline bleed.
hello, thx for the guide i want to ask how much minimum of HP needed for blade. My blade is now 70/70 with lvl 80 LC secret vow my current hp are around 5.7k w/ HP boots and its dropped to 4.6k with speed boots. So, is it still better to use speed boots in that case?
Found this channel yesterday. Love the Star Rail content so far and looking forward to more guides. I have a question Though, I have an E1 Blade with his S1 signature LC and I have a decent setup for relics that I have been liking. After watching this though I am wondering if I should try and use a BE rope and a HP sphere instead of HP rope and Wind sphere? I am already 7500 hp so I don't know if HP and HP would be an option, I know technically the hp doesn't get diminishing returns I just don't know the math very well.
Anything that stacks additively gets diminishing returns. HP% isn't safe from it, just that it doesn't have a lot of sources. I didn't make calculations for HP rope vs BE rope but I am pretty sure that the scarcity of HP% boosts would make Blade continue to scale better with it. I already given the HP% vs Wind% comparison so its just up to you if you're willing to sacrifice all that extra HP for a tiny bit more damage. If you are using Bronya with Blade, then Wind% sphere is actually inferior to HP%.

@@thelostpuppy5483 A very simple way to explain diminishing returns is to use the most basic math. 1+1 = 2 1 going to 2 was a 100% increase. Let's add another 1. 2+1 = 3 2 going to 3 is a 50% increase. As you can see, it's not some super complicated stuff. Now let's add another 1. 3+1 = 4 3 going to 4 is a 33% increase. As you keep stacking something additively, the more it diminishes. MIND = BLOWN.
Its funny how Blade is “allergic” to Preservation. I mean, it makes sense that a Destruction character dislikes Preservation even though is a Blade-specific thing lmao
Help me dreamy. My account is perfect for blade. I have all the premium setup (stonk bronya, GG silver wolf, good bailu and S5 vow) and i dont have any wind DPS. I have no sampo and dont really want to build dan heng. The problem is im just a low spender. and... I WANT KAFKA!!! Any suggestion?

I believe eventually everyone will have bronya from standard 300 pulls (unless for whatever reason you didnt choose bronya). But it will take time, so if you got blade but didnt have bronya, Dont be discouraged👍

For no reason other than some kind of nostalgia I came back to this video cuz today I finally got my blade a decent 4pc set that left him ~60/119 then when I was talking to my friend how hard the grind was being cuz the damn domain is just too annoying to go auto I misspelled his name and called him "Balde", thats the word in my language for "bucket" and couldnt stop laughing (even now lmao) I've never noticed it before and was so funny calling him just... "Bucket" for no reason lol
Lost 50-50 in the first 10 pull to a Yanqing eidolon, but I also don't have Blade's preferred supports, or the Secret Vow lightcone, so I guess it's fate. Until the rerun I'm better off relying on my Sampo and spending everything on Kafka's banner. Speaking of, do you have any plans for a Sampo video any time soon? I'm curious about his interaction between atk% and wind% spheres now that Blade showed the increase can be pretty deceitful. My Sampo is on break effect build but I'll still optimize the other mainstats where possible.
@@LisaraScarlet I see, that's good to know for later when I'm planning teams... knowing that, I imagine they wanted Sampo to either be the one supporting other DoTs, or to just be more self-sufficient with his dot vulnerability then. Though I guess bleed is expected to outperform everything else...

@@mmanell Natasha is fine with Blade. You just need to play Blade safe like what I mentioned in the video. Your Serval is E6, all the more reason to not go for Kafka if you're trying to be resource efficient.

The reason is due to the fact that Unreachable Side provides HP% and of course, HP% sphere will stack with it additively. It is possible that by using HP% sphere with an LC that does not provide any HP% boost, the 1.5% gap should be closed to 0% or make HP% even stronger overall. Even on individual performance.

It is safer to play with but it would most likely deal less damage. But if your healer is Luocha, go for Clara LC.

If with Luocha, I might just suggest using Something Irreplaceable. Both Mutual Demise and Secret Vow are very hard to use with Luocha. I would suggest Mutual Demise however if your healer is Natasha or Bailu.
I have blade sitting at 57/125 with his signature set & rutilant arena which totals out the stat at 73/125, which also procs the 20% basic atk bonus (all without mutual demise crit bonus). Would mutual demise s5 be better in this case or collapsing sky at s5? I don't have Arlan lc sadly
Technically, Mutual Demise still better but of course, you can simply RNG the missing CRIT and retry your runs with Collapsing Sky.
Dreamy what set would you use on Bronya with him? Because you can't use Wind damage set otherwise you would lose the Speed tuning

I did recommend SPD boots on his final build section. How much more SPD he needs will entirely depend on you.
If you do not have Bronya, you don't necessarily need more speed unless you are doing some tryhard run like trying to achieve 0-cycle clears. If you do want that, you aim for 134 SPD minimum.
If you have Bronya, you then aim for 134 SPD on Bronya then Blade should be 1 or more SPD higher than her, so basically 135 SPD or more.
If you really want a "minimum" SPD requirement, I probably recommend 128.

I tried using mutual demise on him and pair him up with Luocha. It does not work as Luocha just Heals him back to full health most of the time, diminishing the Crit Rate Boost.
I thought that was a given. Even Arlan LC would be awful with Luocha. If you're gonna pair Blade with Luocha, he needs his signature LC.

I don't look at leaks so I can't do early theorycrafting. I don't have access to the test server either.
I only have access to the media server which happens before a new version releases. It has the final kit of the character which is better to use for theorycrafting since it already gives an accurate representation of the final build.
Not sure how I can give tips on how to theorycraft. For sure, understanding the damage formula is one. Other than that, you just gotta work on analyzing the character's kit.

Yes, they can work together. Not to mention, Wind element's break has a pretty strong DoT if the enemy broken is a boss. Kafka needs speed tuning for her follow ups but not many characters can permanently use their basic attacks on their turns unlike Blade.
Also, you don't have to worry about whether you are gonna miss out on Kafka Sampo pair. I tested it on the media server and its pretty bad. The damage ceiling is high but sampo just takes too long to get his wind shear stacks to max.

@@redcloud7447 Luka will also be on Kafka's banner and by all testing/math is infinitely better a pairing for her as physical dot is stronger than wind, as well as his kit having built in interaction with DoT's while being SP neutral allowing Kafka to play SP negative. Break DoTs are also separate from baseline ones so Blade misses out a little in that regard, whereas Luka has 100% uptime on his baseline bleed.

my current hp are around 5.7k w/ HP boots
and its dropped to 4.6k with speed boots.
So, is it still better to use speed boots in that case?
I'd say 6k minimum. SPD boots is honestly mandatory. If you're using Wind DMG sphere, change to HP sphere.

Found this channel yesterday. Love the Star Rail content so far and looking forward to more guides. I have a question Though, I have an E1 Blade with his S1 signature LC and I have a decent setup for relics that I have been liking. After watching this though I am wondering if I should try and use a BE rope and a HP sphere instead of HP rope and Wind sphere? I am already 7500 hp so I don't know if HP and HP would be an option, I know technically the hp doesn't get diminishing returns I just don't know the math very well.
Anything that stacks additively gets diminishing returns. HP% isn't safe from it, just that it doesn't have a lot of sources.
I didn't make calculations for HP rope vs BE rope but I am pretty sure that the scarcity of HP% boosts would make Blade continue to scale better with it. I already given the HP% vs Wind% comparison so its just up to you if you're willing to sacrifice all that extra HP for a tiny bit more damage. If you are using Bronya with Blade, then Wind% sphere is actually inferior to HP%.

@@thelostpuppy5483 A very simple way to explain diminishing returns is to use the most basic math.
1+1 = 2
1 going to 2 was a 100% increase. Let's add another 1.
2+1 = 3
2 going to 3 is a 50% increase. As you can see, it's not some super complicated stuff. Now let's add another 1.
3+1 = 4
3 going to 4 is a 33% increase.
As you keep stacking something additively, the more it diminishes. MIND = BLOWN.

If you have a built Serval, you don't need Kafka. Blade has more value than Kafka.

That will depend on how good your Luocha is. A really well built Luocha easily puts him above 80% HP especially when Luocha's field is active.

Lost 50-50 in the first 10 pull to a Yanqing eidolon, but I also don't have Blade's preferred supports, or the Secret Vow lightcone, so I guess it's fate. Until the rerun I'm better off relying on my Sampo and spending everything on Kafka's banner. Speaking of, do you have any plans for a Sampo video any time soon? I'm curious about his interaction between atk% and wind% spheres now that Blade showed the increase can be pretty deceitful. My Sampo is on break effect build but I'll still optimize the other mainstats where possible.
