On my first couple of listens this one didn't grab me but the thing about modern Raveonettes songs is that they're really layered and well produced, you end up coming back to them, noticing small intricate details buried in them and loving them. People are too busy moaning that they miss the old sound to give the new stuff (which is in my opinion better) a chance. I hope The Raveonettes continue to experiment and push their boundaries and NEVER GO BACK to their old style, keep it fresh and new guys!

The Raveonettes acaban de estrenar esta canción que es un descarte, sacada de las sesiones del que fue su último disco. La banda danesa de Sune Rose Wagner (guitarra y voz) y Sharin Foo (bajo y voz) propusieron dar continuidad a su espléndido disco "Pe´Ah" de una manera diferente a lo habitual, de un modo experimental acompañaron cada mes de 2016 con un tema nuevo, para terminar de conformar una obra llamada "Atomized", pero que también se llegó a llamar "Rave-Sound-of-the-Month" . Aquel álbum de 12 temas ahora se complementan con este tema extra llamado “Ghost” con el que The Raveonettes vuelven a mostrar su pasión por el psychobilly y la electrónica. Esta canción perdida, de toque oscuro, es una balada sobre una ruptura amorosa. Habla de una persona del pasado que nos acosa, que se adueña de nuestros pensamientos: “Un fantasma, es todo lo que eres para mí. Por favor, apaga éstas luces brillantes… No pude traerte de vuelta”.

Let's all dial it back a bit. Been a Raveonettes fan since Day 1 and this is not exactly killer "Sinking With The Sun" and as far as slow songs, it's fine. It's not exactly killer more filler. Still Raveonettes' filler on fuzztone distorted guitars is better than any lamestream bands' "hits."
