Here I am playing a solo guitar arrangement of Stardust by Hoagy Carmichael. Published in 1927 and recorded by several artists over the years, including Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby, Django Reinhardt, Nat King Cole, Willie Nelson, and many many more.
The guitar here is a Gibson L-7 from 1937 with a Charlie Christian inspired pickup into a Fender Deluxe Reverb.

Willie Nelson is the first time I heard this on guitar, and I thought it was rough, he seemed to brush over parts as he was singing. This version is smooth, flowing. I still want to learn the song

Most excellent. Thank you. I've been wanting to play Stardust like that (with a little Django) for 53 years. I'm to about the third measure. My brain doesn't get it. My fingers seem to get it however they tend to do what the brain says much of the time. My favorite version is Louis Armstrong's from the thirties? He sings like a saxophone.
Thanks ! I play it a little different every time. One of my favorite songs. The Armstrong 30s recording is the good stuff!! I love that as well as the recording of Hoagy vocal/piano recording.

Beautiful rendition, bravo! That floating CC pickup sounds lovely, although that's mostly your touch, but I love CC pickups - have a bit of a fetish for them. Those inlays on your L7 are just like the inlays on my 1990's Gibson SJ Deluxe (J45 rosewood and bling), which Ren Ferguson made to show-off the new Gibson acoustic factory in Montana. ANYways, appreciated-liked-subscribed...!
