I have a plot for the sequel .
It starts with Luke basically feeling depressed because he still wants to be a Marine. Out of the blue Luke is visited by the State Dept. It seems that during his time in Iraq Luke and his platoon befriended a local village leader. They helped develop his village by building a school house and constructing a well. One day the chief's 5yr. old daughter falls into the well. She is rescued by Luke and her father feels indetited to Luke and his platoon. Skip a few years later . Some US Marines fall hostage to AL Qaida. The chief uses this as a way to repay Luke . He offers to help rescue the captured soldiers if Luke and the remaining men of the second platoon lead the rescue mission . Luke is offered a full pardon reinstatement and a lieutenant 's commission. Of course he accepts the offer even though Cassie objects. During the mission tragedy strikes. Luke goes M.I.A. for a few months. Cassie is inspired to write a few songs during Luke 's absence. Eventually Luke is saved with the captured Marines. All is well. We find out that Cassie 's reason for not wanting Luke to go was because she was pregnant with their first child, but didn't want to tell him because she didn't want him to worry while he was away. Now the stage is set for Purple Hearts 3. What do you think?😊
