The joy of great dance, music and story combine in Ashton’s Cinderella, a fairytale rooted in a magical brilliance and great charm. Everything comes together for a perfect Easter treat this season with The Royal Ballet.
The divine Alina. What a joy she is. Thank god that this performance was filmed. But why isn't it available to buy? Come on ROH - this would still be a best seller
I´ll never stop saying what adorable is Prokofiev´s music and what a huge pleasure you can obtein hearing -listening- it.Cojocaru is a great ballerina and she has been born for this roll.
ummm pause at 48. omg i looovvveee her soooo muuuccchhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and does any one realize how hard it is to make italian changment look good??????????? she makes it look so beautiful and easy. this is wonderful. she is the best ballerina out there. thank you so so so so so much @annamicro !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just saw them tonight in Romeo and Juliet and I met them both at the stage door! They're really nice and seemed interested that it was my first visit to the ROH. They're patient too! patient. Some woman was harassing Alina about 'balances' for ages! I met Brian Maloney and Monica Mason too! Also really nice.
i just love this so much, she is in cinderella soon at the royal opera house, its a hard choise, to see her and ruppert in cinderella or her and johan in La Fille mal gardée!!!!!
Yeah that is a hard choice. I'm saving now so that I can afford tickets to see another ballet this year. I've always wanted to see both ballets! I think whichever one I choose, I'll see a different couple for variation. But I love AC and JK!
This is Prokofiev's most romantic music (Romeo and Juliet notwithstanding), and these are two of the world's best dancers. But what's with the choreography? They're supposed to be charmed by each other and falling in love, but they never face each other. They seem to be dancing against one another's movements. Not working for me. Even these brilliant dancers can't save it.
EEEEEK! AT 0:45 !!! They are amazing dancers (she has the most fabulous turnout and flexibility I've ever seen) but the choreography is awful. There are almost no sequences where they are ACTUALLY connecting movements together...

I love the Royal ballet especially Alina Cojocaru but I really don't like Ashtons Cinderella.
