The difference between a dagger & a knife is the usage, and, for most ppl the number of edges - not the size : A knife is a tool, most of the time with only one edge. A dagger is a weapon, most of the time with double edges.
Daggers don’t have a size minimum. A dagger can be short. A knife has a blade. Not all daggers have blades. Like a stiletto dagger for example. Daggers are for stabbing. Knives can be a tool and for slashing and stabbing.
