You may wish to read concepts from Dr Chris Pallis written in the early 1980s upon this very issue. Thank fully I was a SHO at the Hammersmith for him when he was a Consultant Neurologist at the RPGMedical School. JML
Hi, I was wondering if it is essential to do Bio, Maths and Chem for A level to be “properly” considered for a medicine place, or would your application be equally as acceptable as doing just biology and chemistry. Your help would be much appreciated, thanks.
You need Chemistry with either Maths, Further Maths, Biology or Physics. Please see here: www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/undergraduate/courses/course-listing/medicine
Hi, information on entry requirements, including BTECs, can be found here: www.medsci.ox.ac.uk/study/medicine/pre-clinical/requirements/academic Best of luck!
The questions will be similar in so far as they are academic puzzles. You're not likely to be asked questions that test specific knowledge. You may be asked to analyse some data off a screen, which is a common form of gauging your scientific intuitions.
Wishing your father a speedy recovery!
Thank you very much
