I love not only his other-worldly voice, but his face - he inhabits these songs. He lives them while he sings them. You see it in his eyes, his eyebrows, his forehead - and every single expression. Many great technical singers do not have that human quality - that makes your heart stop breathing and your eyes sting. Oftentimes their overly dramatic expressions ruin the subtlety in a passage - at least for me they do. Pavarotti had a million subtle micro expressions that so delicately floated along with the notes, and this made watching him as enjoyable as hearing him.

@@hankblaustein4149 yes and Andrea bocelli said in his book, Pavarotti, that pavarotti was the only one who could teach, because he had it all inside, and he measured it out, so he didn't force like all others, strain and tip toe, and drool and throw their heads back, he held it and perfectly measured every note . like yes2day100 said.

What amazes me about Pavarotti is it looks like he’s just talking and those beautiful sounds just float out of his mouth what a gift he was to us !!!
yes he does make small movements with his face, but his technique is so precise and dependable and his talent so huge he doesnt have to stand on his toes and drool and strain to put forth his beautiful music.
His voice is perfect for this repertoire. Just so magnificent. I never heard him sing these songs before.

What a better world 🌎 🌍 everyone will have if dedication Maestro Luciano performs in singing as one of the best would be applied to everyone achieving their best at any job. Although some do need help or compassion. Maestro Pavarotti really does have compassion🌹😘/dedication.The man with Passion or A man with passion is very loved and kinda like a hero too. Some know music/ la música heals.

they didnt want to let him go, wow, I like when they came out and closed the piano, ha ha they played till they ran out of music sheets, then ended with Nessun Dorma.

Remarquable concert. Chanter à ce niveau-là sans effort apparent, c'est la marque des grands. On peut ajouter la beauté du timbre, la diction et la concentration et la magie opère. Pavarotti restera un virtuose vocal pour toujours. On ne remplace pas de tels chanteurs Bravissimo !
On ne peut que tomber d'accord avec vous à moins d'avoir 1kilo de cire dans les oreilles.
A part Caruso et Gigli je ne vois pas qui égale ce grand ténor.

48 is height of a tenors good years and they can sing well into their 60's

if my math is correct - born 1935; this concert 1973; he was 38 here. no matter, the man was always magical, even without the bloom of youth.
