The King's Academy, a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence with a Top-5 Nationally-Ranked Fine Arts Program, recently performed the high school premiere of "Newsies" on its main stage in the Page Family Center for Performing Arts. Starring senior Kyle Martin (Jack Kelly), senior Chris Pappas (Crutchie), senior Clay Hider (Davey), and sophomore Olivia Cornett (Katherine Plumber), this musical is said to be one of TKA Theatre Co.'s best.
TKA’s Conservatory of the Arts, a two-time American High School Theatre Festival award-winning fine arts program, is led by Mr. David Snyder (Artistic Director, Musical Theater, Department Chair), Mr. Nathan Adams (Vocal Arts), Mrs. Cathy Higgins (Dance- Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz), Mr. Douglas Gawriljuk (Dance- Ballet and Modern), Miss Sarah Fahey (Theatre Arts), Mr. Brad Majzner (Stagecraft), Mr. David Skinner (Instrumental Director), Mr. Wes Lowe (Assistant Band Director), Mr. Patrick Clifford (Strings), Mrs. Macey Norton (Video/Digital Arts), Mrs. Lauren Moxey (Visual Art), Mrs. Stephanie Grasso (Elementary Choir, Woodwinds), and Mrs. Robin Phillips (Piano).

Good to see such a nice set, and a well rehearsed performance like this made by fellow high school students, wished my high school cared and gave this much value to our performing arts department, but no, and all lights, sounds and set, would be taken from our own blood, sweat, tears, and money.

Tka’s version of newsies a mega masterpiece and this song and scene is awesome and thank you tka for putting this show production with mr Snyder’s awesome casting also this song is a mega hit and Kyle and friends sang this amazingly awesome

This version isn't bad, but, If you watch the movie made by disney, that version in the movie is so amazing, that nothing can ever get even close to it. Christian Bale can make anyone join in and sing, and he was just such a perfect character in the movie. I get people want to bring back older musicals, but if you do it should be up to par with the original.
I mean every rendition is gonna be different and there’s only one Christian Bale. I just appreciate the different version because nothing is gonna be like the original. I think it can only get better than the original or worse. There’s no way they could totally replicate, and also where’s the fun in that? :)
