For real, her low notes are actually pretty good despite being out of tune but her high notes do need some work which makes sense because it’s not in her vocal range. This is why I loved her Maria Reynolds so much.
I think this really wasn’t as bad as y’all say it was. Was it not perfect? Was it off key? Was she struggling with sharpness and breath control? Absolutely. But she was not so terribly horrible as you make her out to be. She is probably around 14-17. That’s pretty young to be singing such a difficult song. Cut her some slack, I guarantee you would have struggled too.
Honestly I think it’s just nerves. You can tell her pitch isn’t a key problem and that it’s just because of breath support which happens to get weaker when your nervous. And the portrayal of emotion is really good for how old she is( assuming she’s teenage age) many singers struggle w it plus some of the cries/ riffs she did were so good and accurate. So if you guys rlly want to chat I want I video of u w a better stage presence.

Me, after performing this as a mock to my gcse music class and feeling a bit disappointed (I got a 9, aka A* I think?, but I’m rlly hard on myself 😅): Well that makes me feel better! (I’m a teenager btw and idk why I found this song easier than a grade 5 song, despite this being grade 7-)
