Quality watch as always as you said they could adapt for the bottom it would be a cracking idea always enjoy an underwater bite onto the adventure tightlines look forward to the next video 👊 🎣
The problem with the camera is its effectively a tube full of air and electronics, its probably reasonably neutral buoyancy (for lure fishing etc). In short you need to replace the air with something heavier than water and non conducting (so you don't mess with the electronics), pieces of lead wrapped in insulation tape or heavy pieces of gravel maybe..? It might also be worth setting it up as a marker float setup and casting a normal rig in front of it (something to aim at) or positioning the camera with a baiting spoon maybe..?
The rig needs to be sat in front of the lens so needs to be attached to it. The field of view is not that wide so the chances of casting a rig in front of it are slim!
Good idea with the UW camera could I suggest setting up just above a solid bag this would give you casting weight and a weight to set the hook . It would also give you bait directly in front of the camera 🤔 a good idea 👍🏻
That might work, I don’t want to add too much to the setup though as there’s more chance of it getting snagged up. I think just some extra weight to sink it would be more effective
Hiya mate, love your videos you inspired me to get into carp fishing my self I got some gear for Christmas! I got a Normark carp 12ft 2.5lb test curve rod and a shimano airlex 10000 series theses should be alright shouldn't they for a bit of carping?
Brilliant video, enjoyed it. just an idea, but if you threaded a gardner pva tube down your hooklink in conjunction with a long antitangle sleeve then the rig should lay out straight infront off the camera.
Great video Shaun 👍 how's about a longer anti tangle rig tubing, and a stiff boom material for the hook length, a long anti tangle sleeve over the quick change swivel, that might work for you 👍 Keep up the good work fella 👍
Aimed at the predator market for a reason then 🤦🏻♂️ ..I sometimes have weighted my old go pro in the margin on a small tripod to little effect..a good idea for your videos could be underwater release shots ...this has worked with the old go pro to good effect 👍 👌
It would be a lot easier fishing the margins I would have thought, but not the time of year for that method I suppose. Keep experimenting and good luck.Neil🎣
Great idea, not seen a film with the camera attached to hook link. Can always sit and fix camera on a 2oz lead and stick some foam around the hook, might work 🤷♂️ good video anyway 😊
Think it's light an don't sink cos its ment for reeling in with a lure. So camera is further up the line from the lure and filming fish chasing the lure
Seen these myself but think they are more aimed at the predator anglers, not to say they wouldn’t work in a carp fishing scenario given the right conditions.
Been using Waterwolf cameras for ages. Nothing new at all. We have them on the leaders when trolling lures for pike, so we get to see all the follows and takes.
Ive got an idea . Get Hugh a snorkel, bung him in a pva sleeping bag , superglue the camera to his nose and send him out. Maybe he can charm a big mirror into a Michael Caine impression. 😁Loving this more light hearted variety show content mate .
As far as I’m aware no live feed, just straight to an SD card. I’ve not looked into that enough though, was too excited to tie it on and chuck it out 🤣
Great vlog again mate, that was something definitely different, even though it didn't work properly, and needs some tweaking, I thought it was good to see, I'm sure your sort it 💯👍🎣
If it got snagged or there was a break off it would pull straight off the mainline. It’s not as safe as a standard rig, that’s true but with 18lb mainline and a 8lb hook length only the light hooklength would be left. Leadcore and leaders are death traps, yet loads of people and fisheries allow them.
Surely this will lift alot of carps scales with 1 black blades stick off running against the carps body surely wouldnt be a good idea for fish care good idea but what happens when you snag in weed with it snag onto something good idea but think it could cause damage Im not hating love youre vids but just think could be dangerous
@@TheFishingBloggers brilliant idea tho will keep watching for the update vid didn't want to come across like I'm hating as I love watching this channel but needed to be pointed out 👌
@@kennystanley9819 I thought the same to be honest, was a rushed idea on my part so should have thought more about what I was doing. New toy, got excited, went fishing and chucked it out! 😂
Lead tape that golfers use to add to there clubs 👍
Another great vid, I say it a lot but always look forward to your vids and goes to show what we can’t see can’t wait for the next one🎣
Always nice to hear you enjoy watching them! Be lucky mate 👍🏻
@ tight lines for your next session, I’m going Friday can’t wait!
@LiamGoneFishin nice! Hope you have a good session 👌

Thanks mate, hopefully we can make it happen!
Thanks for this, enjoyed it.
Glad to hear 👍
Love the camera idea mate, would be great to see it being used on a canal piking!
I will be trying it on loads of venues that is safe to do so, hopefully I can get some mega footage of lures being attacked!

Meant pva boom but you knew what I meant👍

Thank you 🙏
A length of PVA tube/small pebble in the bag could help.
Pva tube has been suggested already, definitely a possibility 👍🏻

Definitely need a boom and stiffer hook length
It’s a great idea, dude, and don’t give up……👌
I will keep trying until we get the money shot 🤞🏻
Great idea keep at it.
Thank you 🙏
Good idea. I've seen these before but I'm sure you'll get some good footage soon.

Yes the GoPro can work in the right situation. It’s all good fun 😁
awsome video Shaun🎣 try the camera when piking with lures
I’m going to try it with loads of species. Should be interesting if I can get some good clarity
It would be a lot easier fishing the margins I would have thought, but not the time of year for that method I suppose. Keep experimenting and good luck.Neil🎣
Definitely easier your right there, but the fish tend to be along the old stream bed on this lake at this time of year.
Great video would of love to seen a carp take the bait on camera hopefully next time 🎣🎣
Will keep trying until we get that magic shot 😊
Great idea, not seen a film with the camera attached to hook link. Can always sit and fix camera on a 2oz lead and stick some foam around the hook, might work 🤷♂️ good video anyway 😊
Yea I think an inline lead mounted to the camera will be the next step
Think it's light an don't sink cos its ment for reeling in with a lure. So camera is further up the line from the lure and filming fish chasing the lure
Yep it’s designed to be neutral buoyancy, just need to mount some weight to it
May i ask please ,where did you get your kettle, looks great.
It’s a Sea to summit mountaineering kettle, it’s online if you google it
Seen these myself but think they are more aimed at the predator anglers, not to say they wouldn’t work in a carp fishing scenario given the right conditions.
It’s just a bit of fun, would be an expensive day out if it got cut off but that’s the gamble
Need to fish more commercial waters, my local especially in winter has Clearwater
I find commercials are murkier due to the higher stock of fish…
Interesting. Try using 20-25lb mono hooklink then it shouldn't tangle
👊🏼👍🏻
Been using Waterwolf cameras for ages. Nothing new at all. We have them on the leaders when trolling lures for pike, so we get to see all the follows and takes.
Exactly, it’s a great point of view 👍🏻
It's a Water Wolf from ten years ago.
Yep, just updated and smaller
Don't worry about watching the take would be more useful to check baited areas battery life wouldn't be a problem then either
But the goal is to record a bite from start to finish.
Reckon a lead clip on there in front of the camera reckon you’d be good to go
Possibly, will try a few ideas
Ive got an idea . Get Hugh a snorkel, bung him in a pva sleeping bag , superglue the camera to his nose and send him out.
Maybe he can charm a big mirror into a Michael Caine impression. 😁Loving this more light hearted variety show content mate .
Throwing Hugh in the lake sounds like a great plan 👍🏻
nice one mate, keep playin around with camera, be good in clear water
Water clarity is going to be essential 👍🏻
Maybe you could use a PVA tape and tie to the camera and then pull back
Yea pva is definitely going to be a way of keeping things fishing
What rods and reels did you use on this session? I mean the model 🫡 Greetings from Poland 🎣🍁🙋

If you use stiff hinge pop up you would be less likely to catch bream
I was just trying to get a bite for the camera, didn’t really mind it I picked up a bream.
Could put some silicon tubing over the swivel by the camera, to act like a boom, and kick the hook link away from the camera
Yea I did think that could work, need to get the right length on the hook link so it sits in front the camera perfect.
Oh my God I remembered the army
???
What about making it a running set up with a small lead and don't the camera have a live feed cos it works with WiFi don't it
Plus I think this could be good idea for looking at your spot if used with bait boat
As far as I’m aware no live feed, just straight to an SD card. I’ve not looked into that enough though, was too excited to tie it on and chuck it out 🤣
You could cast it with a lead and use it too check spots.
Great vlog again mate, that was something definitely different, even though it didn't work properly, and needs some tweaking, I thought it was good to see, I'm sure your sort it 💯👍🎣
@@richiemarshall8393 it’s all fun and games, just big kids going fishing 😂
Cut off the fins (not needed) and use a running lead behind the camera. Just my input mate.
The fins can be removed, but I think the camera will get buried in the silt and obscure the point of view.
Mate is that live feed or just recording
Just straight to an SD card.
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
👊🏼👍🏻👌🏼
Shame is doesn't give a live feed via Wi-fi like a Deeper so you can see features on the lake bed
It’s not design for that purpose, but it would be cool 👌🏼
If omc brought this out everyone would be wanting Ali hung! Surly this is more dangerous to use than the twig or wand!
If it got snagged or there was a break off it would pull straight off the mainline.
