    The comment about Micah made my day, I have one baby who is also 14 months and I just nurse her to sleep when she wakes at night. I’ve been told by so many people it’s a luxury only a first time mum has. Thank you for normalising something that was just instinctual for me

    It would be cool to set your cottage up as a learning area school with the real old time desks.

      Perhaps because most moms work at getting babies to sleep through the night by that age.

      Totally agree! I used to feel as though I was doing something wrong because my two year-old was still waking in the night. I wasted so much time and energy trying to fix it. Baby number 2 on the way and I’m not going to even think about it!

    • @beccam507
      @beccam507 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I have had three kids so far, exclusively nursed, and I never had any of my kids wake up in the night to nurse when they were older than 9/10 months, that seemed to be the magical number. I struggle with insomnia and lots of night waking made that worse, so I worked at training my kids to sleep through the night before they were a year old. Some people are ok and laid back with extended night nursing, and that's fine, too.

I couldn’t agree more, I feel like our “routine” changes every month or two, especially currently with a baby! Your new home looks beautiful! ❤️

    Just an idea, but wouldn't it be lovely if you could get the cute little cottage set up as a filming area? Not that you could do all of your different types of videos there, of course, but it would mean you could leave your equipment up when you needed to!

    Just WOW Lisa.... God bless you and your husband .... incredible work with the kids and a Violin player too!
    Your kids will be well educated with all that you do, certainly well rounded individuals when they are older. Such a blessing, how sad that MORE children are not taught this way.... what a better place our society would be.

    Great post, Lisa! I am grateful you show REAL LIFE! Just started my blog (learned WP all by myself!!! That was daunting!) and can relate to a fair amount of this although I only have 1 kiddo. He's currently in 1st grade at public school but thinking of doing hybrid homeschool (3 days/week) classroom (2 days/week) program in our area. I'd love to see more homeschooling focus and learn more about programs you have researched and how to get over the hump of FEAR around starting to homeschool! Love the post as usual! xoxo

    • @PeaceOutWorld
      @PeaceOutWorld 5 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Speaking as a former homeschool family who have since become adults, one of the concepts of home school is that education is not a separate activity from daily living and learning. When separated into its own cubicle, so to speak, it becomes routine rather than natural. It's just as important for children to watch their parents work and manage their chores. But I can't speak for Lisa. I only would have responded this way if someone had asked me.

    • @ashleydavis9152

    My husband owns a business that he runs from home. We homeschooled year round. It gave us a small break every season. It also kept the educational momentum going. We did not have to review every September.
    It worked well for our family.

    I would love to see a homeschool vlog of yours!! I am planning on homeschooling and I like to see how others do it, but there's not many TH-camrs that show their routines :( Also, I LOVE that you're still nursing!!! My daughter is going to be 14 months old this month and I am still nursing her and definitely not stopping until she wants to!

    I’d love to see more videos on specifics of blogging, if you’re willing to share. Things like social media uploads, video editing and email marketing. Do you batch tasks together and just do social media on one day, editing another etc?
    Your family is lovely and you are giving your children such a wonderful childhood by making this work. It must be stressful at times, but I can see that they are going to have amazing memories of childhood and having their parents with them. I really admire you.

    I'd love to see an in depth video of how you actually do one of your blog posts. I sub'd to your course, but would love to see maybe a screen recording of how you chose your layout, etc.
