I bought an Aurora 88 just before the virus hit. (So who knows when it will get here?) I was strongly tempted by the goccia nibs. I wish I had found this video at the time. This does act a bit like the Sailor Zoom nibs, which are kind of fun. So, maybe when this is over, I'll order a goccia nib.
WaskiSquirrel ..Ha, I ordered an 88 (Nettuno) exactly a month ago. Heaven knows when I’ll get it. I also wish I’d sought out a Goccia nib for the new 88. All my four other 88s have M or B nibs. Aurora’s italic nibs are one of a kind. Very special stuff. Took a little getting used to initially, but now I wish I had more of them. If you haven’t, you might consider trying them out. Your mention of Sailor’s zoom nib reminds me that I surely must try that sometime. And the rather rare Waverley nib (Pilot Custom 912 & 92) is another that I’m enjoying very much.
To be faaair, I haven't used the fine. I'd say to go with a medium on this one because you want to be able to have more variation from front to back, and a larger tipping size will give you that range.
Thanks for a great video, as always. The coral red pen is absolutely beautiful. I've got to have one.
Goccia nib, wow. Your explanation helps a lot.
Glad to hear it. I really liked this nib while I had it.
Thank you, Mike. Very fancy red and oranges with nice depths.
I want that pen!
They're pretty great. I may need to go ink up an Aurora, now.
Awesome content.... and that ink is “fye!!!”
Love that ink Mike, gotta get that Monteverde!
That was a great review. So much info, & now there’s yet another $700 pen I yearn for. Truly pen porn.
Thanks so much!
Now that is an incredible pen!
I need to start playing the lottery.
Love my CEF and CF - just missing a CM!
Bonita tinta. Variaciones de colores que se ven muy bien. Una buena opción. La pluma bonita y se nota la suavidad del nib al escribir. Buen video.

Hi Mike, do you recommend the medium over the fine, and if so, why?! Thanks!
