Best philosophy channel on TH-cam! You're able to explain things clearly while not treating viewers like idiots, which is a surprisingly rare quality among philosophy TH-camrs. Most philosophy channels just summarize Wikipedia articles, or recite rote and tired internet philosophy bullet points (e.g. every "philosophy" channel that only talks about stoicism); you, on the other hand, seem to have genuine grasp on philosophy, and it shows! Your explanations are lucid, illuminating, relevant, and interesting (and at times personal, a quality which nearly every other channel lacks). Keep up the fantastic work! Is there any way for us to financially support your work?

Thanks so much for the kind words! I do my best to keep it fr. I don’t have any method of financial support for viewers, although the sentiment is warmly received :) Just watch whatever else interests you and enjoy life!

Very interesting! In Deleuze and Guattari's thinking, on the plane of immanence, is there nothing but the free play of continual becoming without origin or telos or authority? Or is there some kind of anchor (perhaps even a transcendental signifier!) that would somehow structure or guide this free interplay, in order to prevent it from dissipating into unrestrained relativism? This, of course, is what Western metaphysics from Heraclitus (logos) to Heidegger (Sein, aletheia, logos) assumed.

In a way, yes. The plane of immanence on its own is pure difference; it’s a motor with no logos, but it operates on a limited number of flows/matters. So the plane of immanence doesn’t exist without the conjunction of actual physical matters which is acts upon, thus allowing order to come about as a result of what they call “consistency” (basically the makeup of a territory as a result of its elements and methods of interaction). They detail this in more detail when speaking of “stratification” in the 3rd chapter of A Thousand Plateaus, “The Geology of Morals”, but it’s notoriously difficult and I can’t say I understand it completely. Ultimately, the plane of immanence is an offshoot of Duns Scotus’ philosophy of univocity of being.

If you ever find out, I'd love to know more about it.
