6:50 Translations are a bit wonky here. What he’s actually saying is basically: ”That’s not a problem we have here in Skåne. People already know, we’re not fooling anyone.”
8:28 "wanking" or in swedish Vanka is a term of walking back and forth in swedish, but in "swenglish" is it wanking 🤣 and we make those mistakes sometimes, for example : socker = sugar, but if you aint careful you might say sucker instead 🤣
A Norwegian settler in the US Midwest was sharpening his knife on a whetstone, when the crank broke - or as he would say, he "slipte kniven da veiva brakk". "Uffda" he said, and thought maybe his neighbor had one to lend him. So he went to ask him. - Excuse me, sir. I have broken my veif. Can I slip with yours?
This is spot on man. ^^ Great ass comedy, kind regards.. From a Dane... We love this banter between brothers. Funny he talks this way as a Skåne, makes it even more funny D: ^^^^^^^^ He's practually danish ;)
Too bad the subtitles ruin several jokes. I don't understand exactly who could have translated this, because they manage to get some fairly complicated sentences right, but then make mistakes on really simple stuff. Especially pronouns seem to be a big problem for some reason. Some examples: At 1:20 he says "I was curious", not "they were curious". The mistake at 3:24 is really bad, because it completely destroys the joke. What the translator put down doesn't even make any sense. The correct translation is "They even have a hard time understanding each other." At 6:09 the translator apparently decided to make fun of Finland, even though Glans didn't. It isn't Finland that is geographically inferior. The correct translation is: "Your geographical knowledge is inferior."
Yea every Scandinavian make jokes about Danish language, its actualy a norse laguage but there pronountiation is werry different! However this guy is frome Skåne, (Scania) south tip of Sweden, that was a part of Denmark, they have a special dialect.. and moste of them understand Danish, to a basic level! In anyway, any sucessful person in Sweden have to move to our capitol city.. to keep being sucessful.. Stockholm! Where he stumbled on successful Finishswedes, Finnland have two languages, finish and swedish.. Finnland was a part of sweden, the elit was often swedish! However, in the south of Finnland there is a mix between Swedish and Finnish speaker! But then to his rant about swedishfinnish dialect, its the best dialect, they pronounce every letter, they even use older words.. they sounds like poets!
Jag antar du inte är från Skåne själv? Vi förstår inte alls danska. Bara för vi har lite arv från språket betyder det inte att vi förstår harklandet de kallar ett språk.
Lots of errors in that translation, killing many jokes.
Because in swedish you can insert a lot of words you dont type in a computer due to the flexible structure it has
