Same engine as the 118i just electronicley limited. That means its stock around 170 hp and goes to 240 so still nice increase but the 100hp increase comes from bwm just reusing an existing engine to sell more of the higher end 1series
If you want to build the engine look into the 208 gti engine 2015+ they come forged from factory and have been build upto 380ish bhp, and can handle it well, im sure you could take the internals from that and out them in the bmw engine as they are the same engine shared by bmw/Peugeot and have the sam compression ratio

In de turbo zat nog meer potentie, kon 280-300pk draaien. Probleem was de zuigers. Merkte dat die hier echt al wel op de limiet zat. Het plan was dan ook eigenlijk om de zuigers achteraf ook te vervangen en hem verder op te drijven. Ook is de grafiek met deze turbo hogerop veel mooier. Hij draait op een veel bredere toerenband +230pk dan de stock turbo. Met soms wel tot 20-25pk verschil. Enkel het verschil in piekvermogen is wat kleiner, maar daar staren mensen zich vaak veel te blind aan.
Not tryna be that cocky dude but is it worth all that money just for 240hp? I mean a mk8 fiesta st 1.5l 3cyl makes 260hp and almost 400nm from a stage 2 and pumaspeed UK took it to 300bhp with just a hybrid turbo on stock block? And if not why not save that money and buy a M135 I know a 6cyl road tax is a little high but there are plenty of 4cyl turbo options that can push almost 400bhp with just minor bolt ons. Like I said not tryna be cocky just having my opinion
I get that opinion. First of all i don't like fwd cars. I hate the wheelspin and not being able of doing skids. And in the beginning i was never going to go that far with this car. But than TH-cam started doing decently. And i already spended too much money on the car. So i was like, f*** it. I'm going all out. And this engine has more potential with this turbo setup. We just need to fit stronger pistons. Insurance and roadtax only, would cost me €3300 a year in a M135i. This car not even €700. So i'm in my 3rd year right now and i've payed €2100 on tax and insurance, instead of €10 000. And for me that's a lot of money

I have a stage 1 tuned 0 money spend on intake, exhaust, downpipe, intercooler, DV, or turbo. And I make 238hp and 321nm. So for u to spend this money and only getting 8hp and 20nm more sound like a waste hahaha And yes its the same car and engine.
All that money you've spent in this you could have brought an M135i and have over 320bhp stock from factory still more than the "estimated 300bhp" you reckon with all the mods on it you've brought separately. Plus someone hits your car with these mods your pretty much up shit creek. Plus a used low mileage M135i is cheaper than all you've spent on this. My stock m135i on a dyno ran at 338bhp with no mods. Your on the way to blowing this engine. Me and my friend who's a master technician at BMW were laughing at this, your in a slippery road to a massive bang, especially with that stock transmission and drive shift. You'll end up snapping it. M135I cars have a very different drive shaft and transmission. Your pulls your doing with that tune are halving the life span of the internals of that small block. I can't wait to see the next video of it smoking and knackered at the side of a road. Wish you all the best when you have to call your insurance company. 🤣

Downpipe, Intercooler maybe dump valve and a tune will get you around ~240hp

Heel mooi resultaat, al vraag ik me af hoe het zou zijn zonder de turbo upgrade. Ik denk zelf dat een olie koeler je over de 250pk helpt.
Koeling is het probleem niet. Auto loopt nu zelfs koeler dan op de oude stage 1 tune. Internals is echt wat de auto limiteert

Qua tuning wel, maar een M135i is qua taks en verzekering vele male duurder.

Ik gebruik in mijn bmw 116 I efficiënt dynamics uit 2011 olie type 10W60 is dit prima? Het houdt het hoge olie verbruik opmerkelijk tegen
