Before you, I was resigned to be bitter towards music. Every pleasurable sound has been used by the industry to create quasi demonic brainwashing, and worship music can easily fall flat and lack a range of expression. But you guys create music that gives genuine expression to so many of my emotions while still focusing my hope for the new creation. Your message resonates with me, and your music resonates with me. Thank you so much
I love how the chorus and [woah] parts were separated at the beginning but then combined seamlessly at the end. It took me maybe 50 listens until i realized this was happening... No doubt one of your best songs... impeccable poetic lyrics; powerful presence; beautiful instrumentation, melody, and mixing.....11/10 "...maybe I'm mad?" "When the world is upside down, follow the fool to solid ground"
Every time I check a song I don't know from you yet, I'm just stunned. 90% of them are like otherworldly I swear. Also the vocals here are just my favourite, both female and male. Not to mention they seem to have somewhat similar voices that blend together.
I can’t express how beautiful all of your songs are. I could go on for hours about all the little details y’all put into your songs, you deserve more recognition for all the work you put into your songs.
Found out about y’all through Jonathan Pageau. Very grateful for the blessing that is your music. I love this album, and this song is my favorite. Speaks so much truth about the mythic, the dreams and hopes for something “beyond what we call ‘far’”. That the desire for meaning we all have isn’t for nothing. That one day, we who sojourn through this foreign land that is the world will have a permanent home someday. That the numinous (as Lewis once termed it) is dreadful and terrifying, but also where life and truth is to be found. And it was communicated through one part of a larger story written by way of some quality music. I find that creative passion at that level is incredibly rare, and I love the idea of telling a story primarily through music that isn’t in the format of a musical. Only ever found one other band that has done anything similar. I get that the story was what you were primarily concerned with, but I appreciate it when an artist can speak the truth in the execution of their craft, especially when it’s as well done as what you create. I swear, it seems like God has spoiled me just in allowing me (perhaps He was leading me...) to find folks with a grasp on qualitatively good artistic and creative sense in one form or another. It reminds me of the hope we have that God’s redemption will usher forth a new Eden, and all will be made right and be set in its proper place again. Just because there are still some who are willing to stand in/for the truth, and are willing to direct others towards what’s true, even if it isn’t easy to hear. And it’s the job of the artist to consolidate complex reality into something that’s more easily digestible, to render the inscrutable parts of life and reality understandable. And y’all do it beautifully. As a Protestant, I wanna say that I wish Protestant artists would produce the same level of quality that you do. Not to say that some haven’t (like the band I spoke of earlier), but most of our musicians make music that sounds like pop music that everyone else makes. Nothing like your “cinematic rock”, which (as is probably obvious) I adore.
i don't think i can describe how much i love your music, you guys outdid yourselves once more with this album its incredible in every way. great work!!!
I consider this one a late birthday present. This might honestly be my favourite song you guys have done, absolutely beautiful. I'm really interested in finding out who the male character is, if it's the same as in Scarecrows and some of the other Dead Horse tracks, it sounds like a benefactor who is absolutely infatuated with the female lead and her ideas.
Your songs are seriously so beautiful; I just discovered the four most recent ones all at once, and they're just so amazing and full of heart, I can't stop listening
Some nights I go to sleep and I can’t remember dreamin' Blink and tomorrow has come Some nights I’m trapped inside of A room that’s full of monsters Terror I can’t wait to wake from But last night I never wanted to be over I never want to leave the world I walked again Maybe I dream Maybe I’m mad Maybe those who sojourn will own the land No imagining required My eyes have seen the fire Maybe those who sojourn will own the land (Woah…) (Woah) That night wasn’t free from horror I cannot lie or alter Memory can not be erased Terrified, I found it freeing Paralyzed but deeper meaning Scared though I could not look away The shadow had finally lifted And the meadows with it a way to show the Hidden myth within Maybe I dream Maybe I’m mad Maybe those who sojourn will own the land No imagining required My eyes have seen the fire Maybe those who sojourn will own the land (Woah) (Woah) (Woah) (Woah) Drawn up to the mountaintop Though the air drew thin I would not stop I drank the clouds I swallowed stars I grew beyond what we call "far" At last I saw the great divide But I couldn’t reach outside of time Until you reach your hand for mine Until I held your breath inside (Woah) Maybe those who sojourn will own the land (Woah) Maybe those who sojourn will own the land (Woah) Maybe those who sojourn will own the land (Woah) Maybe those who sojourn… (Woah) (Woah) (Woah)
Till you reached your hand for mine, till I held your breath inside. Gets me every time. God is good.

Your songs hit me right where it hurts every time and I love it.

That hit at 1:00 with the synth and electric guitar is such a cool sound! And again at 1:45, full and powerful but still rhythmic!

this music just kinda punches you in the soul and you find yourself saying “thank you”

Man, you’re so right though. I feel like there’s something about orthodoxy that they just have this really deep feeling for the mysteries, you know!

How are you guys not world famous yet lol what a hidden gem. I LOVE you guys.
Just wanted to say I love your music and so does the community
Wonderful! Love the new album
Another great one! Every song of yours I listen to is better than the last!
Some nights I go to sleep and
I can’t remember dreamin'
Blink and tomorrow has come
Some nights I’m trapped inside of
A room that’s full of monsters
Terror I can’t wait to wake from
But last night
I never wanted to be over
I never want to leave the world I walked again
Maybe I dream
Maybe I’m mad
Maybe those who sojourn will own the land
No imagining required
My eyes have seen the fire
Maybe those who sojourn will own the land
(Woah…)
(Woah)
That night wasn’t free from horror
I cannot lie or alter
Memory can not be erased
Terrified, I found it freeing
Paralyzed but deeper meaning
Scared though I could not look away
The shadow had finally lifted
And the meadows with it a way to show the
Hidden myth within
Maybe I dream
Maybe I’m mad
Maybe those who sojourn will own the land
No imagining required
My eyes have seen the fire
Maybe those who sojourn will own the land
(Woah)
(Woah)
(Woah)
(Woah)
Drawn up to the mountaintop
Though the air drew thin
I would not stop
I drank the clouds
I swallowed stars
I grew beyond what we call "far"
At last I saw the great divide
But I couldn’t reach outside of time
Until you reach your hand for mine
Until I held your breath inside
(Woah)
Maybe those who sojourn will own the land
(Woah)
Maybe those who sojourn will own the land
(Woah)
Maybe those who sojourn will own the land
(Woah)
Maybe those who sojourn…
(Woah)
(Woah)
(Woah)
