The moral Lesson here is that don't ever underestimate small item projects because sometimes the breakthrough of your career will begin there. Just like Gaudi his breakthrough in Architecture began from a cabinet.
    Thanks for these documentaries.
    Shout out to you from

Please note in chapter 4. That it is 1882 not 1982 when Sagrada Familia is initiated. Gaudi began work in the 19th century, the 1800's.

IT BOGGELS MY MIND when he said the 1980s, while Gaudi died in the 1920s. Is it the ghost of Gaudi who designed the Church? LOL

*When I was 17 I picked up a discount cassette tape by Alan Parsons Project called"Gaudi."* *The song "La Sagrada Familia," was so powerful and the whole album was enlightening.* *He became my favorite Architect.*
*My son's marching band planned a trip to Barcelona and I was able to go.* *After 30 years of first hearing that song about Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia, in 2017 I listened to that very song as I entered the cathedral; it was magical.*

Only thing better than this thorough documentary is going to Barcelona and seeing for yourself. My visit in 2019 is etched in my mind forever. One note for edit is 1882 and 1883 is when La Sagrada Familia origins. Video states 1982-83.

Great video. Just back from Barcelona and developed a fascination with this remarkable man and his inspired work. Please note that at 20:02 there is an errant reference, “In the year 1982 Saint Joseph Association had acquired a complete block in Barcelona.” I assume you meant 1882.

Now days it's hard to see the impact one person can make. In a time he lost everything thinking the world had left him. He focused on that church. And as many artists from times past became more famous after death than life. I'm sure he would have never imagined over 5k people at his funeral. The fact they are still building this church is amazing and to (or close to) his vision is absolutely wonderful.

Victors write the history. I mean if you want to believe he could have possibly drawn all of this or there be workers to construct all of this without any type of modern technology. people by candlelight and horse designing and constructing palaces that exceed our best skill and technology by a magnitude is as fantasy as it can get. these buildings were "herited" from the previous civilization who resided these lands.

How can Antoni Gaudi have started to work on the biggest project in his life in 1983? He died in 1926! Probably a typo which is a minor detail This documentary in itself is a piece of art. A wonderful way to embed well-researched content into perfectly selected video clips. the combined effect is astonishing and gives the viewers an idea of that time in history in architector in general and "art" in particular.
