Thanks for the great question. Best place to start is to join some of the Facebook groups as they will have more information. But if you want to get started you can look at an excavator from Huina. They are a chinese company that makes some ready to run construction equipment. Alipexress has lots of options to choose from.

Thank you. That means a lot to me. I don't work in construction at all, but I have always loved it when my dad used to work in it. So I live vicariously through these machines.
I cut the door with a Drexel tool on the straight parts. And on the corners I used razer saw by hand. Drilling small holes along the rounded parts helps. Then I 3d printed a new door. But you could use the existing one if you are accurate. You can buy small hinges from Amazon or aliexpress.

You could ask someone to build for you but it costs a lot more than just buying the parts and building yourself.
