Evidently it's a SECRET! Wish I could find someone in my area to do this! My roof looks just like the "before" one here but with uneven blotchy oxidation (or tree pollen?). Got it pressure washed last week and it looks worse now than before. At least it was all one yellowy color before, now it looks like camoflage ; (
lots of chemicals out there to do this with, any good degreaser will do the job, spray 9 would work, an automotive paint oxidizer remover would work. I bet simple green or TSP would work. I am most likely going to be using this purple cleaner i have, it works on everything, kinda of like spray nine, but leaves a wet look. I forget the name of it, our cleaning supply store carries it! Sorry couldnt be more help there! The main point i am trying to make is, this job isnt that hard, and lots of cleaners will remove it! Try a couple on a small area! Key is, keep it wet and scrub scrub! If the roof is small I would even be tempted to wax it, to prevent future oxidization. I own a green metal roof exactly like this video, its not oxidizing too bad,, but its dirty since our house is right by the highway going to give it a wash and see how clean it gets. I would like to paint it a more nuetral color to match the gray stain I plan on using on our log siding for a modern cabin look
Scrubbing is main method that clean this roof...what would be clearer demonstration that product work was to apply product let it sit on do it chemicals reaction and spray off area without scrubbing n we would have seen the true effectiveness of peoduct
Looks more like pollen than oxidation.. when you rubbed it, your finger was yellow.. pollen.. look at all the trees.. I'm not saying you don't have oxidation, but most is pollen....
go to the video at 2 minutes and 50 seconds. if it was pollen it would have washed off right there. i am in the house wash business for 31 years and 30 of those years i use 0 pressure. the guy is doing a good job. NC House Wash

I use to detail cars out of my garage! So i have experience removing oxidized paint!
Renu has an oxidation removing cleaner. His description of the process is exactly like their instructions indicate.
Bleach mixed with Dawn's dish soap A lot of bleach a little bit of dawn
Is it how you are supposed to wash aluminum siding as well?
Does the surface need waxed or anything afterwards?
whats the price for something like this?
What are you using? Cleansol or Gutter Butter?
He ain’t going to say crap-LOL
Cleansol
are you using oxi-wash?
Buddy tell us how to do the job!
Use the product called Everbrite for Metal Roof restore. The step by step instructions are included.
Excellent video.
Thank you.
Where are you located I'm in Wisconsin to get my roof redone
What is the cleaning solution that you used?
LOL
Just use sh 12% with ivory dish soap. Cuts it right away. It is not hard at all. You need to softwash also. Down streaming is not strong enough
@@show2ime wrong
@KTP we clean them everyday for the past 20 years. I think we have it under control ...
Great video
Thank you Steven :)
What mix or solution do you use
LOL
Do you know
What a salesman!! Most of what was on his finger was pollen my friends. And maybe a little bit of oxidation......lol.
Scrubbing mildewed pollen off makes a huge difference. True oxidation would be much more challenging
That is oxidation
right what chemical is he using
@@billysims515 probably Gutter Butter or Cleansol BC
That green stuff coming off on your hands.... that's called... pollen.
Phenomenal video
Thanks Blast Away!
Well explained .
Why not just pressure wash?
Pressure washing won't do a thing to a oxidation.
Yacking yacking yacking without demo.

Would be good but, this wasn't a product promotion. The solution requires scrubbing.

I don't know man? I'm a tree guy, sure looks like pollen to me...

Old bake on pollen would not have gotten off easy by spraying.......and so a wide range of chemicals can make cleaning easier as well some scrubbing
@@CastleHoke I’m guessing he used Cleansol? bc SH on metal roofing is definitely not good over time.
100% pollen, your fingers are yellow bro, not green. SH and rinse.
Lol you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about that roof is oxidized like a MF kid
