I use both, but more OneNote with embedded Loops. I find it easier to organise and find content in OneNote than Loop. With loops embedded in OneNote pages that I can paste into Teams Channels, Chats, Emails, ... I get the best of both worlds.
Your training videos are better than the recent Loop training I did direct with Microsoft. I now send links to your videos to people in my organization. Thank you!

As described above, all users will still be able to access their existing pages and workspaces, view components from other apps, and more. The only capabilities that may be lost after the grace period are creating new workspaces, adding members to workspaces, and removing members from workspaces.
As part of Office 365, you probably also have to agree that Microsoft scans all the data that you put in Loop as specified in the EULA. For most businesses in Europe this results in confidentiality issues, and they would have to disclose this "sharing" with their clients.

Thank you for the feedback. Is there a specific time that you notice the audio quality change or is it the whole video? My neighbours dog barks very loudly directly facing my office window which causes the noise gate to kick in and the audio quality distorts with it but I usually re-record these sections (if he stops).
@@officeskillswithamy Hi, and thanks for the feedback, or rather for asking ,-)) Of course I'm sorry about the neighboring dog - unfortunately, as a “consumer” you don't thank them for that. The change already occurs after the intro, at 1:30. I then tried to hold on, but it was too exhausting for me and I copied (+ translated) the transcript and had it read out by the plastic reader in Word. Btw - my favorite function... not easy, 'cause OneNote can do so many things exactly the way I need them and is a powerful overall package, but the multi-person-"transcript" (recognizes and marks realy many of different people ^^ PLUS parallel created sketches, notes ... which are then also played back in parallel to the time sequence (!!!), yes that's mega-practical for my meetings and interviews! Loop is in a similar space as the new Outlook for me. I like what I see and want to use it, but there are still too many important features missing. OneNote is really good at being a place you can put basically anything. Text, hand written notes, drawings, math notes, printouts you would like to annotate, web clipings, audio, video, etc. I wonder whether Loop will ever really replace OneNote in that way. Loop is very similar to Notion. Notion doesn't really have a solution for hand written notes, drawing or annotations/markups. Will Loop get this? One thing I feel comfortable with is that Microsoft is unlikely to just kill off OneNote. Unlike Google, Microsoft keeps things around. If they want people to transition in the future, they will have some kind of robust solution to move everything over. They simply cannot afford not to.
I depend heavily on a few OneNote features that I have not found replicated in Loop. 1) Web clipper, to clip websites content and links into a OneNote notebook. 2) Send Emails and Meetings to OneNote. 3) Clip MS Edge Collections into OneNote. Great video comparison. Thanks!
✨ Which app do you prefer? OneNote or Loop, or do you use a combination of the two? ✨

I think loop is similar to Notion than OneNote
@@LenParliament this sounds like the perfect balance of Loop and OneNote!
@@MrThelegnd I agree, it seems to be Microsoft's competitive product for Notion.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it 😊
Loop is also only available in lower level security options of 365. If your organization uses one of the high secure GOV versions, you can't have it.
Great video Amy comparing the different features and cons. Many thanks!!
You are welcome!
Very nice presentation on the features of OneNote and Loop. For me, I will be staying with OneNote.
Thank you!
Oh, now there is a December 2024 review date. Where did you source this info from please?
Yeah, this had me worried too.

These are great features of OneNote for sure! Thanks for sharing 🤓
Looks like Loop is trying to be similar to Notion.
Yeah I think MS wanted an app to compete with other modern note apps too.
Nope I’ve been having sync issues all of sudden with my work OneNote. It’s been awful.
I am sorry to hear that and thank you for letting me know that it is still an issue.
