I liked the Hiding 5 figure debt video the best! Because it was very genuine and honest - it's rare to see this on TH-cam. And really great advice and valuable knowledge as well that you gave. Apart from the practical advice about what to do if we really find ourselves in that situation (hopefully not), I really loved to see the interaction and communication between you both. I'm newly married and it teaches me how a strong relationship and couple really looks like. And even in the face of troubles, not to judge and to stand by each other - that is so hard to do but you guys really demonstrated it. When you were talking about bankruptcy stuff and the people coming and pasting bright stickers on every single furniture, I remember the plastic wrap that came after and me asking my mum why they were wrapping up our sofa, and where were we going to sit to watch TV (Think I was in lower primary back then XD).. That memory made me super grateful for how I turn out now, and I could appreciate how stable my little family is, just by not being in debt. I really enjoy your channel content. Other channels don’t intrigue as much as this and TDK. I really should bring my wife to this place after seeing the vouch of quality and seeing the chef prepare. I think the best video this far is the one on the financial situation cause that resonated a lot with me and my wife. Thank God we’re debt free now and looking to keep it that way. Life did make a huge turn for the better for us ever since then. 2023 was an awesome year for me for me because first, I went debt free, second, I got a newborn child by accident and finally, invested in new business venture with my partners and taking the first steps of being an entrepreneur (my dream job since poly days). Hi John and Pat, to be honest I’m a new subscriber.I stumbled upon your Christmas channel then I went on to watch your video on 15 year anniversary. I think I enjoyed most about the video is how transparent you are and it comes through to the viewers at home, or at least for me. And that we are all equals and that it should never be one persons obligation to plan for a anniversary/ any special occasion. My spouse have the same sentiments about having children. While on one hand, we do wish for a child and may prob leave to regret it if we dont even start trying but on the other hand, my spouse told me he was worried that our relationship will change for the worst if a child comes along. It shows he values our relationship more than anything and I’m thankful for that. But having heard both of you sentiments towards having children, we know we are not alone. Thank you!

Hi John & Pat! I followed you (John) since AfterHours and I'm soooo happy to see what you've achieved now with TDK and other channels! I love how this is a no-KPI channel and I hope you keep it that way! You guys have given us so much by putting yourselves out there soooo the least we can hope for is for this to be something that is fun and makes the r/s stronger :') the part on being totally spent during weekends (after a long weekday) really resonated and don't worry if you ever hit a roadblock and stretch it out to once a month etc, it'll still be highly anticipated by us :D My favourite video is the one on how the relationship stagnated and how you guys overcame that -- which brings me to my second point -- the insane discipline that you guys have to really stress-test / challenge yourselves on the FULL honesty in your content. I liked the Hiding 5 figure debt video the best! Because it was very genuine and honest - it's rare to see this on TH-cam. And really great advice and valuable knowledge as well that you gave. Apart from the practical advice about what to do if we really find ourselves in that situation (hopefully not), I really loved to see the interaction and communication between you both. I'm newly married and it teaches me how a strong relationship and couple really looks like. And even in the face of troubles, not to judge and to stand by each other - that is so hard to do but you guys really demonstrated it. Happy New Year John and Pat~!!! My favorite video is actually the one that talked about financial issues, because I could relate to it so much... When you were talking about bankruptcy stuff and the people coming and pasting bright stickers on every single furniture, I remember the plastic wrap that came after and me asking my mum why they were wrapping up our sofa, and where were we going to sit to watch TV (Think I was in lower primary back then XD).. That memory made me super grateful for how I turn out now, and I could appreciate how stable my little family is, just by not being in debt.

My favourite video has got to be “why I proposed to my husband”. Got to see John serenade Pat for the proposal, a little bit cringe but so sweet and damn a lot of effort. Relate to you guys a lot esp on the having kids topic. Tough and sensitive subject to share on, but it helped my husband to navigate, discuss and accept the fact that not everyone is fated to be blessed with kid(s).

I really enjoy your channel content. Other channels don’t intrigue as much as this and TDK. I really should bring my wife to this place after seeing the vouch of quality and seeing the chef prepare. I think the best video this far is the one on the financial situation cause that resonated a lot with me and my wife. Thank God we’re debt free now and looking to keep it that way. Life did make a huge turn for the better for us ever since then. 2023 was an awesome year for me for me because first, I went debt free, second, I got a newborn child by accident and finally, invested in new business venture with my partners and taking the first steps of being an entrepreneur (my dream job since poly days).

Hi John and Pat, i really loved your train of thoughts (especially on todays video when you mentioned about the trade off about having or not having kids, and if you do not how would you want to live your life). I think this train of thought was really good as it shows us that there is always pros and cons, and not to follow with societal norms.
The video on the 5 digit debt and also how you incorporated the worksheet that both of you went for before you both got married left me with very deep impression as money is always a very sensitive topic to talk about. I enjoyed the video 'Hiding 5-FIGURE DEBT from my wife' because this is a actually an real issue some couples out there faces and it is not spoken frequently about because some may feel that it is an embarrassing thing to share with others. It is really encouraging to hear about how your stayed with each other through thick and thin, trying to help each other deal with the problem instead of fighting and breaking up with each other which may seem like an easier option.

Actually probably this video is my favourite on your channel so far, even though I love all your content. This video is my favourite because it hits really close to what me and my wife are going through right now. Just the 2 of us celebrating New years, with no party, no friends or family. Everyone else has got their own programs. We had steam boat and sang karaoke at home LOL. We are also having the DINK life similar to yours. Would have definitely done egg freezing if possible, but unfortunately my wife has passed the age limit for that, so we are also coming to terms with it. Really grateful and assuring to know that we are not alone when watching your videos.

Hi John and Pat, to be honest I’m a new subscriber.I stumbled upon your Christmas channel then I went on to watch your video on 15 year anniversary. I think I enjoyed most about the video is how transparent you are and it comes through to the viewers at home, or at least for me. And that we are all equals and that it should never be one persons obligation to plan for a anniversary/ any special occasion. My spouse have the same sentiments about having children. While on one hand, we do wish for a child and may prob leave to regret it if we dont even start trying but on the other hand, my spouse told me he was worried that our relationship will change for the worst if a child comes along. It shows he values our relationship more than anything and I’m thankful for that. But having heard both of you sentiments towards having children, we know we are not alone. Thank you!

Hello!!!! V happy that you guys started this channel bc I already watch all the other stuff that john’s on as long as there’s a podcast or video that John’s in I will watch, even the Chinese podcast. Previously all of my watching & listening was just a solo activity (top 5% listener for TDK in my Spotify wrapped 😂) but now with this couple channel I can also include my partner.
My favourite episode has got to be the first one. It’s because I was playing the first one out loud in my house as usual (but normally my partner don’t care). However, it piqued his interest. He found you guy’s dynamic very similar to ours which is very comforting. He really don’t like to watch SG content one he always say “very cringe” but since your first episode he’s been watching with me. And I quote him “I like it because they keep it real”

Heyy, I am grateful I have chanced upon your channel through my girlfriend and because of her we always watch your videos together and also caught up on those I have missed from the start.
I think my favourite video has to be the QnA because its the realest thing I have seen a couple on youtube do, sharing about life experiences, how to conduct ourselves and being the best for one another, which we and especially I can learn a lot from. Thanks for making real content where you are open to share with so many peopole your own relationship where people can learn from and not sugar coat your lives together.

Hi John and Pat, my favorite video is "I quit 1 week before my bond ended...(it was that bad)", because you guys were really vulnerable and talked about the importance of mental health, and making sure that you are in a good space mentally. It's nice to know everyone struggles through various situations and come out with lots of lessons. A happy new year to both of you!!!!

I love how this is a no-KPI channel and I hope you keep it that way! You guys have given us so much by putting yourselves out there soooo the least we can hope for is for this to be something that is fun and makes the r/s stronger :') the part on being totally spent during weekends (after a long weekday) really resonated and don't worry if you ever hit a roadblock and stretch it out to once a month etc, it'll still be highly anticipated by us :D
My favourite video is the one on how the relationship stagnated and how you guys overcame that -- which brings me to my second point -- the insane discipline that you guys have to really stress-test / challenge yourselves on the FULL honesty in your content. It is really the highest level of self-awareness imo and also the highest level of humility to openly reflect / criticize yourself, and what more to share that with the whole world. R/s stagnation is probably something that happens to almost every relationship and we Singaporeans are generally more paiseh about these things but your candour certainly encouraged a lot of my friends to address it openly and head-on, saving / helping many in the process!
I really see that 'radical candour' in all you guys do (even in the small things like how you guys react / give your views) and y'all are really role models in that regard -- that knowing your weakness is the first step to becoming good / strong in any area we set out to do. + the clarity of thought that follows that; it's really an unbeatable combi that makes you so capable. Respecttttt.

Honestly, I love all your episodes and look forward to a new one every week ever since you guys started. As a 30+ navigating my marriage, I relate so much to many of these topics. I remembered how you spoke about remaining attractive for each other, and also having candid conversations with my spouse about our Finances. We actually went through the questions on your Google doc. I am in awe how your range of content is this broad (from finance to work and even more personal stuff).

Hi John & Pat, hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year :) All your videos have taught me alot of things, now that I am in my mid 20s, but the one video that stood out with the financial literacy video about debt and credit card bills. It taught me to look deeper into being financial saavy which I am trying to be :) The worksheet is really interesting and am planning to do it with my partner.
