i would appreciate more info on this tablet. seems like lenovo created an absolutely wonderful device, but theres very little about it on youtube. does the pen lag in other apps? i suppose not, since you didnt mention it.
4:28 Grid Legends will push the 8 Gen 3 to its limits. Even the 8 Elite doesn't do 60fps with some of the GFX settings maxed out within the game's files
Sometimes it's not the hardware's fault...
@ricarmig I never said the hardware is bad, it's just that the game is a 2022 PC/Console game which is now available for a select number of mobile SoCs and becomes extremely demanding on the SoCs, the higher u crank the visuals
How did you get that color for this tablet? I have been looking online but i only see the white color model.
i believe they split the colors by market, as ive only seen EU reviewers with the wonderful deep blue, and NA reviewers get the off white versions. does seem like the US version gets to keep its charger in the box, however.
This is such a nice package and that color is to die for! Lenovo really dropped the ball not including a micro sd card slot in expansion. I would love this but,will wait to see if they do a 512 or preferably a 1tb option.

I think lcd improved where most of its display you can't even tell if its lcd or oled but ofc oled still better

You know what’s crazy you spend all this money on these tablets and they only support them for a couple years and it drives me nuts. I want my tablet to work as long as I possibly can have it work until the apps get to the point where I need to have more storage or more ram or a better processor I mean these companies sell you these and they don’t want to support them. Makes me not wanna buy them at least when you know when you get an iPad, you’ll have that thing updated for at least 8 to 10 years. The crazy thing is if you would grab a nine-year-old iPad it still works to this day.
Update support is not the same as working. My s9+ runs pretty much everything besides leading edge games and it’s obviously still sitting on android 10. 7 years of os updates are currently offered both by apple and Samsung on the higher end.
@viciousslayer yeah a phone is one thing bro but when you buy a tablet you're going to have them longer so when I buy tablets I do like the operating system better on Android but if I'm going to spend $1,000 I'm buying an iPad because I'll at least get 10 years of updates and updates matter yeah you could run a lot of apps but a lot of newer apps that were just designed and updated you won't be able to trust me bro there's a lot of apps you just don't see in the Play store because they don't pop up on your phone so you don't know how to apps you're missing to be honest
@viciousslayer if your phone's OS is old and it no longer supports newer operating systems and new apps come out your Play store won't even give you the option to see it so you don't even know if you're missing out on new apps or not sure you could still have older versions of apps that people are still running to this day but they're running a new updated version of that app that you won't be able to get there'll be a point where you're stuck on a version of an app and you can't update no further unless you root your S9
@ yes, you get apps that you cant run, which is the exact same thing ios does (i highlight the mini 6 missing out on apple intelligence due to 4gb of ram here). being actively supported isnt the same as having the leading edge feature set. it doesnt matter if my old s9+ was running android 15, it doesnt have vector extensions or rt cores to run something like gta definitive editions. an update is not the same thing as new hardware.
to add onto this, yes, there are use cases (say something like youtube) where you can reasonably expect that leading edge hardware features wont ever be really leveraged, and more updates do just mean more device longevity (as the current cutoff line for active support is at android 6 for youtube). do you really think thats the most relevant use case for all devices? i get it, 3 years of updates (2 really, android 15 is around the corner) when the hardware is very clearly able to do much more than that is annoying, but end of update does not mean EoL.
It isn't only the hardware, Samsung puts a lot of effort in the software department. The experience is very different and even a bigger gap is you turn DeX on.
And lenovo can't beat Samsung's software 7year support.

I'd like to see Lenovo come out with a Chrometablet with this design. These tablets that come with a back cover don't need the metal back to be protected. The front glass needs to be protected but isn't. I've seen many cracked glass front, including my own Duet 5. When dropped, the front typically hits the floor at a corner, so all that is needed are some corner bumpers. They should make a built-in metal kickstand with an opening to insert the user's hand and can rotate to portrait mode.
Ideatab pro has a significantly better screen
Until the oppo and mi pad 6, we only had tab m10 and Galaxy tab A. shit tabs lol.
True 😂 I used lenovo tab M10 when I was kid thought they were awesome but now they were so shit man💀 xiaomi revolutionized the budget segment in tablets
no Microsd slot = fail. No buy. When are all these phone and tablet makers going to wake up to the need for a microSD slot?
That ruins their ability to sell the higher storage versions for significantly more money than the storage itself costs

he didnt say its oled. now sure, a 700usd (600 on sale) tablet may be outclassed by the one that is like, 1300usd for the same package, but then you dont really expect it to compete against something like the ipad pro m4 do you.
