Domo dropped "alone"(personal favorite), Earl dropped...well many favorites. Syd as part of " The Internet" got me through one of my best, yet most mentally abusive jobs. Tyler brought chords back. Odd Future has been a very influential collective. People do grow apart, and egos clash. But man..thinking about it, I'm glad they released and shared that moment with us. I've personally experienced it several times, build with people, make some of the best art for the time, yet never release it because of ego clashes or misaligned timing.
Still one of the best rappers of our time, he just doesn’t make music that’s accessible to the casual listener; but I genuinely believe he’s one of the greatest poets currently living

Here I am now noticing these groups and people have all gone separate ways. Following the dissolution of Loiter Squad, Tyler personally made sure that Taco, Jasper and Lionel continued on in the television industry with help from existing connections at Adult Swim. This was mostly due to these 3 specifically having no rapping ability during the OF days. Mike G didn't gain traction after OF because his solo music is very experimental and I don't believe he could lock down a sufficient fanbase. He was also never featured on an OF related release after 2012. Left Brain had some promise but was simply not a good MC at the time and producers were very overlooked at that time. He got better over time but he was essentially building his career from the ground up as OF had been over for 5 years when he improved.
Their fanbase along with Tylers is so supportive of the artform of music. I know more about Tyler and his fanbase than i kmow about his music but im going to give it a chance when i get settled in. Might even start reviewing Albums like i want a fanta oh 😂
What's crazy to think about is the majority of fans who are at Tylers shows and some of these other artists from OF were fans from Middle School & High School.. we watched them and witnessed something great and Beautiful in our life's that newer fans never got to experience. The other thing is, I think only a couple people will realize that just because your famous now, you can’t sit still and just ride on that “right now” fame, you gotta keep hustling, keep working, thinking, being creative or you’ll be no one in a year, especially these days where everyone’s attention span is like 43 seconds.
