  • The twin summits of Earl's Hill and Pontesford Hill rise out of the plains to the south-west of Shrewsbury and herald the beginning of the Shropshire hills. In the 1960s these hills became Shropshire Wildlife Trust's first nature reserve.
Harriet and I climb to the top with little Lola leading the way.

For anyone interested, Pontesford hill is the hump with trees. Earl's hill is the hump without trees. Pontesbury hill is a smaller hill to the south of the village that's covered in houses.

Excellent! Your video has magically captured the warm colours and ambience of autumn. I am so pleased that Harriet and Lola join you on your walks while in Shropshire. Harriet is a delightful lady and together you both bring a joyful quality to your videos.

So.....next stop Everest?😂 Beautiful Autumn walk. Love all the colors of the trees. The views were spectacular! I laughed so loud when you took a deep breathe & said "you get a real smell of sheep poo!" Being a Fall day I was wholeheartedly expecting you to say something about the crispness of the air in nature. Boy was I wrong!!!🤣😂🤣😂

hahahaha - it was true though the smell of sheep was all around. :)

Richard as you know we are going through your videos looking for places to take Grace. Do you think in her all terrain buggy (not her wheelchair) we’d be able to get her to the gate before the summit? Or is it terribly steep? In comparison to grinshill from Clive direction as an example?

As I remember it, there is a fairly good path through the wood at the bottom, the remaining third is quite steep and might be an issue.

Harriet is my partner - but we have a long distance relationship - she is Shropshire and I am in Sussex.
