Great reaction. The contrast between the brutal instrumentals and their sweet vocals is everything. They are angry at lazy boys, an insolent brother perhaps ... basically don't p*** off Yui and Moa, they WILL knock you into shape!😡🤘 Apparently some of the language used is quite strong (translations vary between very watered down and way over the top), but it seems some of the language is not what you would expect from two, sweet, polite girls like Yui and Moa. When they first saw the lyrics they couldn't stop giggling.🤭 You have already been told about the Tokyo Dome stage you were admiring. As for the hate they got early on (still get to a much lesser degree from the deaf, stupid and ignorant corner of the metal elitist basements), a lot of it was prejudging or stemmed from misinformation, lies and people who completely misunderstood them or suspected some sort of sinister corporate scheme or attack on metal ... I have no idea what or why that would have been a thing.😕 There are some very good guides that detail BABYMETAL's history, beginnings and so on. The most recent (and most accurate) of them is the not so extensive guide (April 1st 2024) by A Fox Song. You may want to watch that (and do a reaction please - it is about 37 minutes, we will watch it with you) and yes you will find learning about their parent group Sakura Gakuin and origins as the Heavy Music Club within that group both enlightening and entertaining.
You were right, this is a compilation of at least two different shows. Tokyo Dome and Fox Festival for sure, maybe some other snippets from other shows as well, not sure. If you can, get the blue ray of the Tokyo Dome shows, it is well worth watching :)
One of the classics from the golden age of Babymetal. This one hasn't been performed live since 2017, and may sadly never be performed again. It's probably the heaviest song in their entire catalogue. That stage was the Tokyo Dome 2016 show. It was the biggest show of their career so it was the grandest stage setup they have ever had. There is definitely an element of jealously in the hate Babymetal have gotten over the years. The hate has mostly died down over the years as they have stuck around and proved that they're not a flash in the pan and earned their place in the metal scene. Overall, they're pretty well respected by a lot of the metal community these days, although the online trv kvlt elitists will never give them a fair shot.
Nice reaction! Yeah, "Sis Anger" is super heavy and one of the best performances of "Black BABYMETAL", a lot of people spoiled that in the past 😄 You got the sense of the lyrics in an instant, great! Now you know why their choreo is so important, and that it is not just there to look nice (I never thought of you thinking like that, but now you had the opportunity to fully understand the importance of their choreography)😉 Try to get the DeLoreans (DVD/BD 😉) of the "Live at Tokyo Dome" concerts from 2016. It was an AMAZING concert, start to finish. And the stage was humongous, indeed. They even performed on top of it! And you´ll love the ending of the "Black Night" for sure!
Great reaction! You were on the right track. They are fed up and frustrated with stupid boys being stupid and basically telling them to straighten up or they would beat the stupid out of them, lol. I'm sure Grington's reaction alarm will wake him up soon and he will explain it alot better. The stage that you really loved was from the Tokyo Dome show. 360 degree 3 story stage with stages on top and three runways with those small moving stages. Crazy business and super cool. They had 55,000 kitsunes a night, two nights in a row with completely different setlists each night. Kitsune Up!
Good one, thanks! The intro is a quote from the Bible (Revelation 6.1) and says: 'Then I watched as the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say in a thunderous voice, “Come!”' Yes, this is a compilation video from different shows (not just from Five Fox Festivals in 2017). The huge stage is from Tokyo Dome 2016. It was performed on September 19 and 20, 2016 (this song in particular was performed on Black Night, the 20). Exactly six years ago tomorrow. I like to revisit "time period correct" shows so, next weekend: Tokyo Dome!! 😁 "Sis. Anger" is my favorite Black BABYMETAL song. And it's probably their heaviest song instrumentally. But they needed to play every metal trick just to balance Yui and Moa's extreme cuteness. So, they had to add some brutal blastbeats and killer riffs. Lyrics are also interesting for being quite rare to BABYMETAL (and a bit controversial) since they are mad at the selfish and lazy boys and they are using some "strong language" not rude per se but definitely not the language you would expect to be spoken by two polite young ladies like them. 🤘🦊

Nice one Johnny! While I definitely like the newer iteration of Babymetal, the classic, early Babymetal definitely has a wholesomely amazing charm. I feel like this song is a slight nod to Metallica's St. Anger On Babymetal's origins, Su, Moa, and Yui were members of an idol group called "Sakura Gakuin", meant for girls 10 - 15 years old. SG is structured like, but not an actual school, where the girls perform as a group, or in "clubs" (sub-units). One of these is the "Heavy Music Club", which later became Babymetal. At the end of the school year, a graduation concert is held and a studio album is released. Members ~15 years old completing actual primary school "graduates" and new members rotate in. You can think of it as a "trade school" of sorts for adolescent girls aspiring to be future entertainers (singers, actresses, models, radio personalities, etc.) to learn the skills of the trade. Babymetal split and became independent in 2013 when Su graduated. Yui & Moa continued SG activities in addition to Babymetal until they also graduated in 2015. 🤘🦊

The compilation videos people make are meant to evade this process because the video and audio won't register as a match. Manual strikes are rarer but can only be evaded by luck, as they are issued by an actual human being, likely employed by the copyright holder. A real person won't be fooled by any editing, of course. But they aren't capable of searching the entirety of TH-cam so on the occasions when they are doing this kind of work, they will be limited to only looking at a small percentage of videos, probably determined by time limitations, etc. A note of warning to you: reaction channels are also known to be hit with copyright strikes. It's not just material from Japanese performers that are likely to attract a strike, but Japanese companies are known to be more aggressive in protecting their copyright interests than some others. It seems to occur in waves. Best case scenario is you get a copyright claim which allows your video to stay up but you can't monetize it, the royalty payout goes to the original copyright holder. Worst case scenario is an actual strike, which means your video gets taken down permanently. If you get three copyright strikes in the same time frame, your channel will be terminated by TH-cam. The time frame in which a strike stays active is three months. What you can do to protect your channel is limit your videos that could cause you problems, anymore than three at any time is frankly a gamble. Some reactors move much of their content to another platform such as Patreon, with only an introduction video on TH-cam that includes a link to the other platform. This has worked in the past, but I've heard that companies are pressuring other platforms to protect their interests now as well. I don't have an issue with the companies enforcing copyright laws, it's their right, but it does pose a real problem for people such as yourself. Hope all this information is some help, it might be a good idea to contact other reaction channels in order to get a more legally precise version of this stuff.
